I started playing this game when I was 10 yrs old, before I came in contact with this masterpiece, I had depression and nothing could ever lift me from my depressed state. I went to school and people made fun of me because I had absolutely no motivation to walk, talk, eat, read, study, or sleep. I hated everybody and everything because none of them could understand me; and neither did I understand myself. Then one day my parents gave me a smartphone, and there on the app store I found this game with the name Terraria. I installed it and spawned in the world to see that there were buildings pre-made for me, there were chests and a shrine made of gold. I was on relatively big island in the sky and the world took only less than an hour to thoroughly explore. I exited the game, new colors that will later awaken my reality were planted like seeds in my Limbic cortex. Though, on the outside, it was as if nothing had changed. Three years passed, I obtain a new smartphone, and I decided to install the game once more on my new phone, hoping that an update had happened, it asked for $5 USD, but something in my soul told me to continue. I purchased the game, installed it, made a new character, made a world, and preceded.
The world that I previously saw, formally tilted as "Terraria Trial" ,was a shell that contained a universe waiting to be unveiled, the discovery of the paid version was the revelation changed my life forever. My ability to be happy returned as soon as I built a house for the guide to live in, that feeling of success; that feeling IS my purpose here on this Earth. I regained control over my emotions, I started working out and learning karate and became strong enough to defeat my bullies, I started becoming a very fast runner and joined the track team, I became smart enough to be a king in my chess club, and I had something to make me feel safe when I am in a subway full of strangers; Terraria.
