Today I have finally found your invitation to come back. I really think you need to get better! Even DR 2.0 still does not reach the levell of DR 1. And what did you promise the community? Evolution, evolutiion, evolution! ! The only aspect to keep away from "Richard Burns Rally" is the graphical evolution of more then 10 years ! ! !
I thought you would be able to do better . . .

First of all I like this game! Not as much as I liked DIRT Rally 1 – but I like it.
But why didn`t they call it "DIRT 4b"or "DIRT 5"?

In nearly everything I think the game is closer to D4 than DR.

When I do the stages in Australia, New England and Spain I think they come directly from D4 (with their repeating details). New Zealand, Poland, Argentina and the from DR 1 acquired locations are really good stuff.

But the pacenote-system is really most horrible!
Who knowes a codriver that goes on reading pacenotes for multiple hundred meters when his Driver spins and has has to turn arround his car in wright direction? Which codriver does not help his driver to find back the wright way? Beside that I think the pacenotes are really bad timed. They seem to be packed into bundles. Sometimes I hear about 4-5 corners at the beginning of a 300 meter straight. And they are not repeated when I come closer to the bends!
Next time the information comes far too late. I have tried to adjust it with the offered slider. But it changes one bad situation into an other one.
The word "into" tells me, that corners follow immediately after another. There shouldn`t be a 200 metre straight in between!

I`m a bit crazy about documentation of my performances. In DR 1 (likewise in RBR) I wrote the times, the conditions and the used setups of all stages I have finished into lists to watch my evolution. Now in DR 2.0 there are no leaderboards with stagetimes in races with more than one stage (just like D4). I need to be very fast to remember the fastest stagetime (poped up before the stage starts) and my own racetime (also a short popup at the end of the Stage). The results after SS 1 are only displayed as overalltime – in 2 identical leaderboards! To compare my stage-times to those of my friends during multiple-stage-events I need to take screenshots and use a calculator. What an effort!

Some leaderboards offer split-times. That`s great.

I think Codemasters does not recognize DR 2.0 as the follower of DR 1 because the online-events at racenet are still based on DR 1. I also think that the physics in DR 1 are much more realistic. The menu in the game also reminds me on D4. They promised DR 2.0 to be evolution to DR 1. But for me it was a disapionting step towards D4.

The result can be something that puts totally different things together (DIRT Series and DIRT Rally)
Do we want this?

Is this going to go on that way ?

A friend of mine (a member of PCARS 1 development) took me to get into "Pcars 1" because racing together is better than alone (except from rally).
He promised, the graphics of the tracks, the physics of the cars and the instant work at it would surprise me.
The number of cars and tracks seem to be unbeatable! After getting the game I fell back to the ground. Some of the aspects he has promised
I agreed (graphics, number of cars and tracks, the option to change time exceleration and weather conditions) but the physics, the menuhandling
and never ending updates (which always destroyed the settings or deleted good stuff) made me hope for (everything will be perfect) PCars 2.
Now, atfer I have bought the new version (the prime edition fo about 150 €) I had to discover, there has not much changed. The graphic is just about
the same (it only needs more hardware) The physics still seem to be far, far away from (1998 released) GRAND PRIX LEGENDS or (2002 released)
RICHARD BURNS RALLY (both of them still have a very loyal community) or even GP4 and GTR2. If you now justify yourself I wouldn`t be competent - may
be (even after about 4500 laps on nordschleife in a RWD car were I prefered wet conditions), o.k. The way caresetups can be saved is still very
confusing (why do I have to save a setup before I can test it?). (just between ourselves: I have recently bought other rubbish like WRC 6/7,
F1 2010, and so on).
But back to our case. Every fiew days I launch STEAM to get into the game (or an other one) there is another update running (and not always an
improvement). Is it nowadays impossible to release a proper developed product?
Why do cars of players who left a race sill rest on the track?
Why is it possible that the pedalshifter doesn`t react on the input? (simulation meens close to real life: downshifting much too early brakes
engine or gearbox, a little too early helpes braking, ignoring the input meens "do it again" and that is almost too late or at least corrupts
your rythme).
The replays are just useless movies. (nice to watch but with no further sence). Sometimes when participants leave the game when crossing the
finishline they are not shown in replays. In GP4 you could use them to study your driving (wheel-lock duringbraking, bouncing of wheels entering
and leaving curbs, minimum understeering and so on). These items can also be found in the integrated telemetry-tool. (I myself am not able to check
all that while I`m driving). Wouldn`t it be nice to offer something like that (or i2 Motec in GTR2) via DLC?

One thing with your game seems to me perfectly designed: the option to creat onlinegames. That`s unbeatable.

I hope this messing about comes to an end very soon or is this just an other bridge to pCars 3?
