First of all, this game is not for everyone. The first 10-15 hours of the game actually has a lot to offer and has nothing to grind, so it kinda attracts many, but then, the grind begins.
That part where you get to bronze equipment requires you to grind ores, and that starts it all. After this part, you're going to be grinding a lot, but trust me, it is a fun grind. I myself like grinding, so I may be biased but it could easily attract someone that nomally doesn't like grinding, because of other factors like the atmosphere this game has, the building mechanics, etc. I would recommend it, since I myself finished it and it felt like it had a fun sense of exploration and curiosity. Even if you don't like grinding yourself, it's worth a try 100%, since it's not even a game that is expensive anyways.

It's a fine game to play with friends, worth a look.
