To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Bionicle. The Lore is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of the lore and sets most of the franchise will go over a Lego fan's head. There's also the Toa Mata's optomistic outlook, which is deftly woven into their characterisation- the bionicle lore draws heavily from the maori culture, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity and shelf space to truly appreciate the depths of this toy line, to realise that they're not just plastic figures- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Bionicle truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the deepness in the 3 virtues existential catchphrase "Unity Duty and Destiny," which itself is a cryptic reference to the 3 most important virtues in real life. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those lego star wars worshipping simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Greg Farshtey's genius wit unfolds itself in toy form and all of the other media that Bionicle has conqured. What fools.. how I pity them.

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Bionicle tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid
