It's like 1 AM for me and I just finished the game and have absolutely no idea how to articulate the beauty of what I just experienced, but I will try.

When I bought SOMA, I had just finished Amnesia: The Dark Descent which I enjoyed immensely and was expecting a similar experience. I was not dissapointed and SOMA delivered much, much more than Amnesia: The Dark Descent, which is quite the achievement considering how well made that game is.

The design for the locations and ambience is absolutely top notch, the monster model and sound designs in particular are more terrifying than anything else I have encountered so far in my time of playing horror games. Those factors make sure the experience is at times uncomfortable and rough, which masterfully makes the moments of downtime and safe exploration that much more sweet in a more special way than most other horror games I've played.

In addition the game has one of the most bleak storylines to go with the package, which just nicely seals the whole thing.
I know I'm basically just reiterating what most other reviews on this point but the game really makes you think and appreciate your life and existence.
The storyline would, in my opinion, justify a playthrough alone if you can handle some of the parts being horror.

It might seem expensive for a rellatively short game (took me around 8 hours to complete), which was my first impression of the price, but the quality of time you get is through the roof.

If you are in any way ready for a wild, bleak but ultimately incredible ride, you should buy it or wait for a sale, you really won't regret it, its a masterpiece.

Wow, that ending gave me the absolute chills. Around the time you load up the OMEGA SPACE GUN, I realized one Simon would be stuck there and that is a depressing thought.
But hey, at least one of them escaped.

Don't buy this game unless you want 13 minutes of boring, motion sickness enducing gameplay.
The sound is also REALLY repetitive after you realize it's the same 5 second clip repeating over and OVER.

I have played the minecraft mod, where this is from. It is a good "Evolution" of the crafting dead minecraft mod and is very good. Congrats on F3rullo14 for making a very good "sequal".

However, I feel more familiar with the mod so I will return to it. This just currently feels a bit too clunky and unfamiliar for me. Since I've played minecraft for 7 years or so, so the mod feels familiar.

I will return in a few weeks and see how far it has come!

Great game! One of the best things about it is the weekly updates. The overall quality of the game and updates: 9/10. Mayby he could make more ingame additions? Probably the best survival game i've played in a long time. Warning: this game can be very hard sometimes...
