This game is gorgeous.

The art style is amazing, the concept, the UI, the mechanics and the soundtrack were all done in a near perfect way.
Very fun to play alone and with your friends (expect a lot of bugs in multiplayer).

The game isn't only about exploring and discovering, you also have to grind. Being REALLY boring and inefficient if you don't get it right.
Personally, you will have to find your own way to do it. I can't help.

I see people talking about lack of content; the game just left the Pre-Alpha state, its going to get A LOT of updates.
The devs are pumping updates in such a consistent way to make players stick to it and are active on the community - they even have a hella big roadmap https://trello.com/b/UoZgKrd3/astroneer-development-roadmap

The bugs - Some are hilarious and some will ♥♥♥♥ you up, well it's early acess, bugs are something for you to expect.

About te performance - It's very consistent during playtrough, except when you're taking off and landing your spaceship.

I played for 38.1 hours and didn't even explore all of the first planet. At least i was able to tether all the way around Terran's moon.

There is a lot of content, mostly hidden, which you will have to discover yourself.
