After a lot of time the game is finally properly updated. Yes, there's still some bugs, but the amount of content in massive, and the devs are constantly sitting in the discord channel working on it and openly discussing everything with the community. This is truly a passion project and it shows, can't recommend it enough, the twist it adds to the usual turn based combat by doing orders 1 at a time is fascinating, and the historical accuracy is down to the smallest details while also not shying away from what if scenarios (the european invasion of japan being the prime example). Can't recommend this enough.

Really satisfying, really fun, not that difficult even on the hardest difficulty. Haven't played multiplayer but wave defense and campaign are loads of fun, even in singleplayer
