Terrible game.


Best fighting game movement, though. Also incredibly cool two-weapon system for characters, with their signature moves and stats being what separates them. With recent updates and dev team trying to improve the game, some glaring issues have been addressed, though most of these issues shouldn't really have mattered for a casual player or someone below Diamond rank anyway.

Only real problem for me personally is that as someone who isn't consistent, it is really difficult to rank up, as the entire playerbase seems to be getting better and better overall. Gold players are all sweaty scythe 0-death maniacs, and plat since i last got it has become unapproachable to me.

Pretty toxic community though, expect lots of thumbs-down Kor emotes and people spamming taunts at you. Sometimes they do it cause they are genuinely toxic, sometimes to ward off people they believe are toxic and to regain their own mental. Occasionally you will also be invited to a private room so they can use the chat and call you slurs (which are at the very least censored).

If you are dedicated, and fall in love with the mechanics, this game is incredibly fun.

Probably one of my favorite games. Even more replayability with Tmodloader, with a pretty active modding community.

The game seems to still be updated despite supposedly having had multiple "last updates". Lots of fun content with cool bosses, progression is satisfying, albeit sometimes inconsistent as there are parts that feel significantly harder than others. Examples are the beginning of the game and the beginning of hardmode.

Takes a bit of dedication to get through the game, at least if you start with Expert mode or Master mode, but personally i felt it was worth it going right into them rather than Normal. Play the way that is the most fun, though.

Not much else i really feel like adding, best experienced without much knowledge about it or with a friend i'd say.
