This game pulled my devil trigger and made me feel subhuman, so much so that I had to bury the light before the crimson cloud arrived.

Anime Dark Souls is as good as it gets, huge badoinkers, edgy characters, oversized weapons and power of friendship all in the same package! Hooray!
P.S. Good luck getting 400 Marks of Honor tho...

Thoroughly fun and intense combat, cheesy funny one liners, wonderful simile with real life events, all in all one of my favorite games ever. Honestly, it only got ♥♥♥♥ on because it was launched when people were expecting a DMC5 and because of the rebooted story, but overall it's a very enjoyable game.
The only negative I have to point out is the lack of Bloody Palace for Vergil.

Play the base game once, then immediately download and install Seeker of Fire mod. It's the ultimate DS2 experience.

The ultimate God Eater game imo. It has everything. Memorable characters? Check. Story that keeps you hooked? Check. Tons of different clothes for your character? Check. Wanna go melee only? You can do it. Wanna go ranged only? You can also do it. There's no limitations to how you can play the game, and the aragami variety is nice too.
Well rounded game that I'm gonna keep on spending hours into.
Only issues are music and multiplayer bugs tbh.

I'll be honest here, if you're looking for lots of content, this is the wrong game for you. Go play GE2RB.
Now, I have enjoyed every entry in the series, however I've grown up and have less time to play due to job schedules, and tbh I'm glad they "watered down" the God Eater formula. It's simple yet enjoyable. The power creep is not as heavy as in the past games.
If you're super fond of the original GE story like me, GE3's story will feel more like a reboot than a sequel, but that's just nitpicking I guess.
Also, lots of mechanics have been removed, such as Rage Burst and Aragami Bullets (no one used them afaik lol), Link Burst bullets are now limited, weapons skills were reworked into Burst Plugins which are only active in burst, custom bullets no longer consume OP and are now limited to a set quantity of ammo depending on how complex/powerful is the bullet, and much more.
Overall it's a good game, I just wish it had cross play with PS4/Switch, other than that, I'm happy with it.

Definitely not for the average gamer. Very resource heavy even on low settings and you gotta no-life it to be strong enough late game.
