A game that is often disregarded because of the bigger GTAV. I still haven't played GTAV, but i know that i will enjoy the SP campaign. I played 3 and 4 so i know what to expect. The thing about Sleeping Dogs is that it's such an underrated title, a game that for his definitive edition being sold constantly for 5 € is a steal. It's a TOTAL must have.

Above average story, great combat mechanics, decent graphics and a world that, while not as big as Los Santos, feels alive and is filled with many opportunities around the corner. The soundtrack is also very good and surprisingly varied. It made me create a playlist on YouTube with my favorite tunes.

To me, the big focus of this game and where it probably excels, is the combat. I could see why some people actually prefer SD to GTAV, the reason probably being the combat (but also the fact it's a campaign centered around one character). The controls feel great, every movement feels right. It's just there.

If you are the GTA type, you'll probably like it.

In short...

Dull story, weak character development, soulless NPC's, but... the combat. Man, the combat. It's addictive as hell, perhaps as addictive as Tera or Monster Hunter World or even... Ryse: Son of Rome. Well, i loved it. Class customization is also very well done as it offers you many choices and you get to try all of them. Worthy of note is the HD retexturing. I found the PC port very well done.

I also must say there's a feel of Dark Souls/Bloodborne in the expansion. It's a lot more unforgiving than the main game. Get ready to die.

UNDERDOG here for sure. Go for it, but be patient and wait for a sale.

Great game. I still prefer the 2013 reboot version - mainly because i felt the story was more compelling - but i've spent a lot of time in game on this one and i haven't regretted it. Top notch production quality, voice acting is just there and Lara feels real. I could say the big improvement is customizing and perhaps graphics. If you like soundtracks like me, then you'll be surprised at how good this one is. It's a masterpiece score that'll further your levels of immersion.

Go ahead and play it.

This game was really a surprise to me! I'm amazed to realize this is a 2013 title, yet so actual, so contemporary (especially when it comes to graphics). In short, good story mode, fun co-op/mp options, there's some player progression in it (the amount of focus/health, number of executions and arena gear come to mind) and a very addictive gameplay i'd say. Just play this and have fun!

To all those who have not the patience to read long reviews:

I play games since i was 7 years old. I'm 38 now and i'm yet to see a better RPG than The Witcher 3 (expansions included). Keep in mind that i grew up playing Baldur's Gate 2, Planescape Torment, Morrowind, Neverwinter Nights and Dungeon Siege. Games that i remember fondly, particularly BG2 and NWN.

This game set new standards for all future titles. You can see that everything was done with immense passion and care. The story and the many choices it offers is fantastic. It's amazing how a different line in dialogues can change the whole experience. Character development is real, the voice acting is super convincing, most of the quests have substance and this right here is something i should emphasize: you don't just play fetch quest here. You immerse yourself so profoundly that you end up living them.

The only downside i'd consider is the combat system. It's not yet ideal, but it's not bad at all. It works, but there's room for improvement. In the end, you adapt and it becomes a minor issue at best.
