game was fun years ago, they have removed all the fun out of the game for "competitive balancing" and bloated it to ♥♥♥♥, shooting a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gun feels like a hassle vs what it used to be, its only (almost) balanced because (almost) every operator sucks.

I'm not sure I can fully recommend this game, it has its moments and it looks amazing, but the mechanics are restricting, requiring so many specific things right next to a specific building to make it another, it creates this loop of building the same thing 6 times to make a district (and 10 more just to make it function), and the controls don't help, being manageable but lacking in a few areas I wish were a bit more fleshed out. The game hardly feels like a city building and more like a city styled puzzle game where the aim is to get a high score.

also the whole natural resources mechanic is mostly non-existent, serving only to gate progress, you never really have to factor it as all resources are plentiful and/or regenerate, its basically cash in every other game with extra steps

also there isn't really a way to lose (or even basically lose) unless you are an absolute dunce, the needs of the people are so basic (being a list based on the building type) that as soon as its set up, you literally never think about it again, even as the city expands around it.

Planning is non-existent to new players because you can't see any of the buildings or how to unlock them ahead of time, and road networks serve little purpose, if you really wanted to, you can just throw them nonsensically and not get punished as long as it exists.

Overall, I like the ideas and style, but playing the game gets old fast, with restricting and repetitive systems that only exist to be annoying or make your city look worse. (also i played this game a lot more on my friends account before they bought it for me, hence why I only put 1.6 hours in it)

i beat this heist on death wish while screaming and wanting to end it all

i beat every other heist on death wish easily and can beat a number of heists on death sentence

if you play any difficulty above overkill, this heist is a painful slog of limited cover (or no cover in the case of the end of day 2 lol), oversized maps, endless cops with the high ground, and needing to carry 15 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bags, oh? you wonder if you mean max? no you have to secure 15 bags on a massive map in day one, and defend 15 more on day two because you have to deal with the god forsaken cage secure point.

honestly, this review is more a vent of my anger because no one will purchase this on its own, but god i hate this heist, if you don't play high difficulties, its fine, still nothing special due to limits of the engine and issues with design, but good attempt i guess.

Great game, needs a bit of work balancing and bug wise, but absolutely worth it
be warned though, this game NEEDS a team above difficulty 3-4 (more so than many other co-op shooters) unless you enjoy sweating harder than a comp CS:GO player on a treadmill lol

its everything i wanted gunfire reborn to be, and i already like gunfire
the movement, the shooting, the progression, the difficulty, the style, everything is so great, if you can get this please play it, there are tons of options to make the game fit you better too.

this game, even though its mostly seen as the funny smashy car game, is worth way more than that, and the career mode alpha shows this perfectly.
