I finished the campaign in 18 hours and i'm on my way for a second playthrough for all collectibles. For what i'v seen so far i can only say that they kept their promise to us. They made a Doom universe!
COMBAT-It's fast..ooh boy, it's fast.. You have a combination with monkey bars, two dashes in which side you want and the meat hook that let's you basically traverse god like in the environment.Lot's of demons that require different strategy and movement in order to be efficiently killed.The favorite of mine was the Marauder. The fight with him is like a duel, a
ballet with bullets.
EXPLORATION-This game has soo much hours of replayability that you'r money is absolutely worth it.You have runes,figurines,cheat codes, soundtracks of old Bethesda games like Commander Keen, Doom 64 etc., extra lives, secret combat encounters, slayer gates,sentinel
batteries that gives you access to new areas of your new hub, the fortress of doom. After you finish a level you can play master levels. master levels are revamped and remixed variants of the regular levels in the singleplayer
campaign with late game enemies and challenges.
STORY-Most people play doom only to rip and tear and they don't pay attention to the story much, and their is nothing wrong about that, but this time they gave us something to look at. This time we have third person cutscenes that shows and tells the story in much better way than before.Enemies,locations and bosses have much more lore about them to be found in lithographs around the levels. The game has an excellent level design that runs super smooth and makes you go through ancient cities, different dimensions,hell on earth and overall you have lot's of places to visit.
For me, this is the perfect fps game and i recommend it to every gamer out there 10/10!
