FNV is short for Fallout: New Vegas. And on modern OS above WinXP, Fallout 3 (F3) has stability/compatibility issues. So I've found the only way to get a stable install of F3 on my Win10x64 OS is to play it through FNV using the ToTW (www.TaleofTwoWastelands.com) mod. Lets you convert F3 into a DLC for FNV and you can travel between the games with a single character. Very cool.

Just stumble across your profile... Have you played Tale of Two Wastelands mod for FNV? Lets you play Fallout 3 and all DLC inside the FNV engine. This is also the only method I know to get a stable install of F3 on any OS newer than Windows XP.
