A really fantastic vertical slice. It features everything missing from modern AAA racing games; an intense sense of speed, style, and a distinct vision. Its already got a really addictive gameplay loop, only limited by the lack of content. Full version can't come soon enough!!

If you have even a passing interest in the "stealth tactics" genre, this is a must play. The gameplay is extremely tight and accessible, with a lot of visual polish for a strategy game. Sneaking through these elaborate maps hatching plans that use all your characters varied abilities doesn't even come close to getting old. What I didn't expect was just how good everything outside the gameplay was. The visuals, the dialogue, the immaculate levels, its all top notch and really charming.

A dark, immersive take on Star Wars with really tight squad mechanics that remains fresh and satisfying to this day

Overwatch 1 was fantastic aside from a few flaws (Symmetra), and even after countless updates ruining the balance and making arbitrary changes, it was *still* pretty fun. Overwatch 2 wrings out most of the quality still left, and its a sad, mangled, cynical husk of what it once was.

If someone made an "Overwatch classic", even if it was later Overwatch, I would much rather play that.

Doom 2016 does a great job at remaining true to the spirit and designs of the classic Doom games, while also injecting its own flavor and innovations. The glory kill system is pure genius and adds an extra layer of depth while also just being very satisfying. 2016's distinct style and simpler gameplay helps it stand apart from its sequel, and is still a blast to revisit!

For a brand new multiplayer game everything functions really well, strong connection and only 1 crash. The game itself, is Helldivers, but better. Everything that made the first game special returns and is elevated to a crazy new level of detail and polish. The progression systems are very satisfying, and fair, for now. The way its setup, things could get scummy real quick if the dev wills it. Which is essentially how I feel about the game as a whole. At launch its fantastic, but things could really fall apart if its not managed well. For now though, its well worth it.

While being in many ways completely different from the first Darkness game, The Darkness 2 is fantastic in its own way. It focuses on the supernatural side, is generally more comic book-y and over the top, and is more linear. That being said, all of these things are done really well. Combat is a really engaging power fantasy, and the story goes a really interesting direction. Because of how different it is, D2 works as its own thing, but I do think a lot of it is more impact if you have played Darkness 1. Play them both!

Old Blood is essentially a loose retelling of Return to Castle Wolfenstein, but in the universe and style of The New Order. Its basically just a big expansion, but it operates at the same quality as New Order. Its really fun seeing some of the old RTCW ideas revisited, and getting to see more of the WW2 stuff you only see briefly in New Order. Also, it runs much better!

New Order has great designs and aesthetics, really satisfying gameplay, and a solid story. It takes a lot of very basic concepts and ideas from some of the old games but is for the most part its own thing. Fantastic aside from the weirdly poor performance, especially considering its on id Tech.

Prey is a very solid immersive sim with an okay story. It's everything you'd expect from something heavily inspired by System Shock and Bioshock, with many of its own fun quirks.
