Dead by Daylight continues to be a very enjoyable game for me, even with the issues it faces. As of and including the Tools of Torment chapter (6.6.0) I have completed 100% of the achievements, which hopefully means I am qualified by now. I'm going to quickly run through the pros and cons, which hopefully will allow others to come to a conclusion.

PROS
-An enjoyable atmosphere with an enjoyable cast!
Dead by daylight continues to provide very enjoyable original ideas to the table, along with the implementation of many horror favourites. With any creative work, some ideas stick better than others, but it allows for a diverse way to experience the game. Survivors, Killers, and Maps all present a medium for story telling, which is one of my favourite parts of the game!

-It feels fresh!
Nowadays it is very hard to find solid mulitplayer games that are not either grindy RPG's or FPS'. DBD features a style that was popularized by DBD itself! While there have been other attempts, none seem to stick as long or as well as DBD does! With new chapter being added on a roughly 3 month basis, it allows for something to come back to all the time!

-The Fanbase!
While this may be controversial, every game has its share of toxic fans. However, I often see many creative individuals creating and sharing content relating to this game. The community is huge, and I don't see it dwindling for years to come.

-External Content!
This game gets tons of care, both within and out. Many extra DBD related content is on the way! The Boardgame produced by Level99 looks really fun! I am also super excited to see the stories the upcoming comic series and movie have to tell!

CONS
-Gameplay goes stale under certain situations...
As of right now, the only way to experience DBD is through online 1vs4, or through custom games with friends or bots. While this doesn't present a problem in short bursts of playing, it can get old quick. If you're playing survivor by yourself rather than friends, it can make games super boring going though the same steps with teammates that are never stellar. If you play killer, you are almost required to pay for all the DLC, otherwise you'll go mad playing the same way consistently. Obviously this all plays into what kind of player you are, but it can be tedious for many.

-The horror is gone..
This game, while marketed as a horror game, very quickly becomes pretty standard. I would call it more of a spooky game. It has its moments of fear, but for the most part, it features spooky themes.

-Bots!!!
Unfortunately i have noticed an ever growing issue with AFK killers, using macros to stay "active". This gives the survivors two choices. Either finish the match asap to get on to the next, or leave and suffer a matchmaking timeout. Neither of these are fair to the players, and needs to get addressed ASAP.

-DLC...
While it is not personally an issue, it does present one for many. Most of the chapters (Survivor and Killer Bundles) cost money. This makes getting all of them a very expensive investment. While it is technically possible to unlock original characters for free, this is extremely time consuming, and does not include license characters. For anyone wishing to play the game, I would only recommend buying 1 or 2 maximum, and then waiting for sales if more are desired.

-Rift (Battle Pass System)...
This is not a con for the rift itself. Many games feature some sort of pass system to unlock cosmetics. My complaint is the absolute grind it is to finish it. It takes far longer to finish a level than it should, and considering how long games are on average, the progress is far to little to feel worthwhile. I have tortured myself to do it twice, which makes it far far worse.

Hopefully this provides some insight as to if this game is for you. I would love for more individuals give this game a try, but I understand its not for everyone. I may consider creating reviews for the DLC's independently, so please check those out! (If they happen)

This game is like a brick in the head. Comes out of nowhere and makes a huge impact. This fact is shown in the reviews. 13,952 positive reviews as of August 1st, and 127,000 by September 1st. That much is insane. If you have not already played this game by now, then i don't even know how this would be relevant anymore.
