The racing was an absolute blast. Snowrunner is great for feeling like a serious truck driver doing serious truck things, but you also gotta learn to live a little. This DLC is for the people who like to finish off a good session of honest trucking with the boys by setting up a ramp at the end of the pier in Alaska and absolutely booking it into the ocean.

Risk of Rain strikes the right balance of RNG and overarching strategy. Runs feel sufficiently different and random, but as you learn the systems and the characters you can bend the odds in your favour. The skill ceiling is high, and there's something in it for everyone, and you can have a great time without getting good at the game; I put in well over 100 hours messing around before I even started to try and seriously improve. It's great as a single player or co-op experience. The devs aren't afraid of having some stupidly OP synergies, but they're rare enough that when they happen, they feel special. Risk of Rain has some fantastic gameplay loops all wrapped up in a delightful aesthetic with bangin' music. Highly recommend.

World of Goo is a bridge constructor game that somehow manages to tell a compelling story. It's a work of art. Probably my favourite game of all time, and I know that Portal exists.
