Either their account name was changed, their profile was banned, or their profile was removed and deleted. But I went through the friends list and made the same comment on all of their profiles.

You get sent a link to a phishing website, then they steal your information either when you click the link or login. Then they use your profile to send messages to other people and spread it further that way.
