Early Access Review
At the time of writing, this is an early access game for a fairly low price that has a lot of potential. The art style is very pretty and lends a nice atmosphere, and It looks like there is a lot to do in the world. I have only just gotten started. You get the sense a lot of care and work went into the project, it shows.

I would recommend this game if you enjoy open world exploration and fighting off enemies. The game has a Minecraft feel to it, because each world is uniquely generated and you can forage for food and cut down trees. One nice thing that stood out for me was how there are small shelters scattered across the map. This is great for new players who are lost at night.

I want to talk a little more about the art style. At least to me, it's very pleasant to look at. I think it is well done as a blend of pixel style graphics and realism. I find the look very cosy, and a bit nostalgic. The lighting is well done, the sky above makes you want to stop and take in the beauty once in a while. If you like looking at natural scenery, you might find yourself wanting to take lots of screenshots.

Keep up the good work, developers!

Have a couple cups of coffee, listen to some jodelling, and play this game all at once you won't be disappointed.

I like this game, it reminds me of the experience of skateboarding more than any other skating gave I have played. There's the thrilling feeling of trying again and again to land something, you have to angle and time yourself with some care. The controls are a little hard to get the hang of at first, but I like that they leave room for perfecting your moves. I feel they strike a good balance between making things challenging, though not impossibly difficult.

I think for non-skateboarders, the game might feel a little hollow. But for me, you just see the environment around you and think 'I wanna do a trick off of that!' That's enough for me! It would be cool if we could play skate with other players, though.

Thanks to the developers for letting an old veteran skater get on a board again without injuries. It's been a while.

This is a pretty cool world. I get the sense that there's a lot of playtime to be had here. I have only just begun at the time of writing this review. That being said I felt like it would be good to share my first impressions. Maybe I'll edit this later on if I play further.

The dialogue is well written, and engaging. I get the sense it was written by thoughtful people with a lot of care. When I first picked this up a few years ago, the post-apocalyptic junkyard abandoned house feel of the place was admittedly off-putting, but gradually this look has grown on me. The fifties in America meets nuclear destruction look is nicely fleshed out, with a dash of wild west vibe to boot. Awesome. As an aside, Westerns were pretty popular in the fifties.

I like that ammo is somewhat scarce, making each bullet a little more precious. I have already ran out of ammo for my rifle, and it needs to be repaired soon. There's a precariousness to this world's game play which fits it well. You eat squirrel stew and down it with whisky. If you can't do that you might enjoy some meat taken from wild animals. If you're really desperate you might drink some water from a sink to gain a little health with a little nuclear radiation mixed in.

Loving all the old country music on the radio. Grabbed a revolver from a wandering trader with mutated cows as pack mules following in tow. They seem perfectly fit for this world, I could totally imagine the Brahmin being a thing in a nuclear wasteland. I can almost imagine what they'd smell like, probably not especially pleasant. Kind of like a mixture of blood and dirty motor oil, with a dash of musk and rotten flesh.

Cool universe, neat places, having more fun with a game than I have in a while.

The create chaotic family dynamics in strange, shabby looking houses without foundations simulator. Oh boy how I love this one. You can do the most dastardly things with your complaisant sims, so willing they are to obey your every command. Force them to live in the most unusual looking McMansion, and line walls with toilet paper and the same painting over and over just to make a statement about plastic opulence. Place a toilet in the living room and watch family members refuse to speak to one another for weeks from the embarrasment and oppression of it all (they'd do that in real life, anyway). Don't you want to watch your sim named Rings and Pins the Conqueror try in vain to take out the trash, when the can has been deleted? These poor sims are your personal zoo animals, and their awkwardly constructed house is the zoo. Sometimes the best things in life cost under fifty dollars.

Render a goat in Blender and make it emit light. It would be a pretty goat, don't you think? If you're skilled with this software due to long effort and passion, I am deeply impressed.

I want the dungeon master to kill my character so I don't have to keep doing all this basic math. I am a goat, not a mathematician. Please let me spectate and describe the pretty scenery to the rest of the players in the campaign. Aesthete and goat at your service.

I spent about an hour in this game collecting rocks and hurling them mercilessly at helpless Easter rabbits. Very grim indeed. A long dark night of the soul, whose vines and snares we must endure without being entangled so that we may emerge on the other side a new and luminous person. Or, at least someone who survived until sunrise in the bitter Canadian north.
