Valheim does what other survival crafting early access games have failed to do in the past which is strike the correct balance of difficulty and resource management with satisfying gameplay. Some aspects of the genre which would have you grinding constantly to maintain your tools and weapons Valheim makes it incredibly easy and its a refreshing change. The progression in the game is very satisfying and the boss fights are very unique and interesting. It might look like playstation 1 harry potter but it handles like a Formula 1 racing car. The size of the game and the low system requirements also make the game really accessible especially on older machines or for those who cannot afford to upgrade. You often find yourself wanting to to progress to the next boss in the game and unlock new items and gear only to realise you have spent the past 6 hours building a viking longhouse and it felt like minutes. Great game, would highly recommend for the price. If this is early access I'm very interested in how the final product is going to look.
