EDIT 09/29: It seems like the only way to fix the problem of not being able to get pass the title screen is to block off internet connection from running on the game using windows firewall, or simply turn off internet connection and run the game offline. This means that the developer might not fix the bugs in the game since they aren't running the game on a server similar to other fmvs. This also means that you won't be able to unlock achivements for this game anymore.

EDIT 09/27: WARNING! Massive bug suddenly, I can't get past the title screen since the selections are completely missing. People that recently purchased this game also cannot play as well, look at the discussions. DO NOT BUY THE GAME AS OF THIS DATE! You won't be able to play it. I will update the review once it becomes playable. AGAIN DO NOT BUY THE GAME.


This fmv is decent. There are some aspects that make it hard like no rewind, no jumping through timeline, and the choices really reflect on the storyline unlike other fmv where majority of the choices are just pointless. When I mean no rewinds or jumping through a timeline, I mean if you select an incorrect choice you either have to restart the whole story to get to that part again or you just have to live with that choice. There isn't even an affection level indicator so you have to keep track of that on your own.

Now here are some cons to this game:
1) Even though the story is written thoroughly, the production seems very low budget. Like the main characters inner thought voices was really mixed poorly since there's always that echo like you are in an auditorium, gave me a headache. I get that there should be some sort of echo when it comes to inner thought voices but it was echoing like ten times the amount that was needed. The looping of the background music goes by too fast meaning, that the sound instantly loops every 3 seconds instead of giving some sort of buffer to reset. You can't even adjust the music volume, there's only the master volume. That "dora the explorer" mention in one of the reviews I know what they mean now. When the game switches from different scenes for some reason there is that 10 second of dry footage of nothing but the actors doing NPC stuff instead of already switching to another scene. I think I spent 10 minutes in total looking at the dry footage throughout the game. There are times where you could see the reflection of the camera man and when you could hear the director say "cut."
2) Localization was bad, like some english subtitles were missing or poorly mistranslated. For example for one part they were saying thank you in chinese but for some reason they literally wrote "arigoto" instead of "thank you," (that was super random). Some of the choices weren't clear like for example one part said "agree" or "disagree". Like there are multiple people in that situation so who am I agreeing or disagreeing with? There's even a huge issue where there was no translation for important text messages that would make or break if you end up with a certain ending.

Overall if they at least fix the localization and translations for this game then this will be one of the better games to take the time to grind out the completion. I only recommend this if you read and understand chinese for now.

I actually enjoyed this game. Sure there are only two characters but they are both very likable. I actually cried in one of the endings because I felt touched with one of the characters. I wish I got to know a little more about one of the main character's friends since they didn't get enough screen time. I also wish there was behind the scenes and extras for this game since I felt that was extremely needed. Overall despite the handful of missing and mistimed english subtitles, I highly recommend this game. I definitely think a sequel is needed for this game.

This game took me a while to continue on playing. The "made with unity" in the beginning almost made me turn off the game having an expectation of this being a bad game. The story feels slow for the first 10 minutes, you will be met with tons of random game over scenarios around that time frame, and buggy/limited localizations. I wouldn't blame you if you decided to just say that you are dropping this game and initiated a refund. However if you can put up with all of this you will find that there is a decent story line to this game.

Alright let me cut to the chase on what's really wrong in this game.
1) Affectionate levels do not mean anything, one choice can trigger the ending whether if it is good or bad.
2) The story is inconsistent, like in some parts you will get confused on wtf are they talking about, the only way for you to know what they were talking about is if you made a choice in the past that correlated to what they were talking about.
3) The story is sometimes meaningless. The only purpose with these meaningless storyline is to get a game over ending. If you choose the correct answer, the story continues like nothing ever happened but if you choose the wrong one, game over.
4) You don't realize it is actually the end of the game because it's the same splash page theme with different text that aren't in english. I had to use google lens to figure out what it said since I'm not familiar with reading chinese.

Basically this game was obviously low budgeted and rushed. I see there was an effort on trying to work with what they have to create this game over it being a cash grab, jumping on the rise of fmv games.

So would I recommend this game? Well just hold off on it, you aren't missing out. Only get it if it is on sale.

The DLC is pretty decent. Unfortunately too short with choices that doesn't reflect the outcome of the story. I felt that there is still plot holes on Zhong Ling's story.

The game is fun so far. Feels better than other similar games. There are different variations of the endings of each characters which is great. There's also easter eggs in the game where you were breaking the 4th wall. However there is a small problem. Some of the english subtitles is missing. No worries I was able to some what figure out what was being said, it wasn't too game changing.

Everyone that is looking at this review should already know the gist of this game. You make the choices, every choice you make somewhat reflects on how the story continues, and you get an ending. Now some of the choices might be locked depending on past decisions and items that you might have missed. Thankfully there is a route map or flow chart (whichever you prefer to call it) to keep track on your decisions. You can always go back and change your decision, like a time machine. Let's say one of the choice you wanted to make is locked because you forgot something in the past, well you can just go to the flow chart and do the prerequisite to unlock that choice. The best part about this is that you don't need to play through that past again, you can just go to that flow chart again and skip to that part where you left off once you fulfill that requirement to unlock that choice.

Now here are some cons about this game:
- First of all, this game needed internet connection to play. Why idk. There is a bug where it randomly goes offline and you can't continue to play. The only way to fix that is to restart the game.
- Second, the story is inconsistent. For example, the main character has sudden knowledge that the girl can do magic tricks in episode 2. The only way for the main character to know is if the choice revolving that girl was picked in episode 1. The main character even said "oh you can do magic?" if you were to make that choice. Even if you don't make that choice you still somehow know that the girl is good at magic.
- Third, there are some bugs with the subtitles. Some parts of the subtitles does not exist. Occasionally there is random timestamps on the subtitles.
- Lastly, the story is RUSHED. There are sudden parts of the story that don't go in depth and you pretty much have to take it as it is. "oh you are suddenly going to leave to study abroad." "oh I like you because you reminded me of someone." "oh some guy somehow ended in an all girl school".

Overall if you need to kill some time and want to turn of your brain for a moment, then this game is for you. However if you want something that involves critical thinking and deep analytical skills, then this game is not for you.

I played this last year and I still think about this game even though it that was the only time I played and finish this game. I really love this game and the artwork. Only thing I hate about it is the thought that my life is too boring to have something like this happen to me.

This is the first CCG game I ever played.

Things I like:
- Easy to learn
- The art
- F2P friendly

Things I hate:
- The balance of this game.

Overall great game would recommend

This software is actually decent. It combines other softwares such as cpupark, advance system care, process lasso, and quick cpu into one. I have yet to find a software that includes setting a time to clear ram every 30 seconds. This gave me a bit of fps boost in csgo but not really that much. I have bad specs anyways. Went from an average of 93 FPS to 100 FPS using the benchmark map, this is using all low setting in game.

NVIDIA GeForce MX230
16 GB of RAM

So is it worth the $5.99? If you don't like the clutter of programs you have to boost your fps, want to potentially boost your fps, and have the money then it is for you. However on the flip side there are other programs you can use that do 90% of the same thing for free and if you have used those programs but aren't able to get some fps boost, then most likely this software won't help you gain more fps. So overall it might not be for everyone (yet).
