So, they just added the new Denuvo anti-cheat to the game. I want to point the game is otherwise a masterpiece of the fps genre. The reason i'm giving it a bad review is because it sets a bad precedent. Cheating is not an issue in Doom Eternal, so it's clear Bethesda/Id Software are doing a test run. I'm mostly concerned about the fact that this software could stop the use of code injection programs (Cheat engine for example) in singleplayer games, which hurts our liberty to enjoy future singleplayer products, such as the upcoming elder scrolls. It could even stifle development of third party mods. This is a dangerous precedent, and companies shoudn't be able to make it, Bethesda or otherwise.
