The EA software doesn't work. My friend and I can't send/receive invites to each other because the EA software that comes with it is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, like everything EA touches. The only ways you can play this are remote play, or just go to your friend's house to play it.

So let me preface this by saying, I don't play this game anymore, and haven't been playing for years. This will set the stage for my review.

War Thunder is a Simcade vehicular combat simulator that allows for combined arms combat. (Mainly Air and Ground combat, cause they basically forgot about naval). The controls are really smooth and the physics are amazing too. This makes this game one of a kind, which is a shame because the Gaijin knows this too. They've realized that because this is a one of a kind game, they can do some pretty predatory microtransactions and get away with it because what other game will the players play instead?

I stopped playing this game for that reason, and a few others. But recently, it has come to my attention that Gaijin has released a tone deaf response saying that it's the playerbase's fault for not understanding how a F2P game works, and are also threatening shutting down this game if it gets review bombed on steam. This is what they said verbatim, "Also, review bombing will not cause modifying or nullifying in-game prices - if the game is shut down, no one wins".
This is ridiculous! Go ahead then, shut the game down! This behavior is unacceptable from a game company. Throwing a temper tantrum because their playerbase is upset with them.

I urge players to negatively review this game because it is unacceptable to threaten the closure of the game because the fans are upset with your companies business decisions. We cannot let this become the standard.

I played this game a bit before it came to steam, though the lack of players was the reason I stopped. Good to see that it is still kicking. It has a really nice PvE game mode, and from what I remember it was way less grindy than its competitors. I'd honestly play this instead of grinding for MBTs in War Thunder.

The only thing I don't like is that I can't link my old account to my steam account, but there is cross-play between Steam and non-Steam accounts so that kinda nullifies that problem for me. This game definitely deserves a larger playerbase, so pick it up if you haven't already. However, there is cross-play between Steam and non-steam accounts.

Gameplay: Really really enjoyable if you like fast paced combat, bullet-hell, and dying.

Music: Absolutely banging

Story: It's a little bare-bones, but it does make sense if you pay attention.

Totally get it if you're fine with the stuff mentioned above, definitely worth the price.
