The best Halo game 343 Industries has released by far and easily up there with some of the best from Bungie. A little rough around the edges and it definitely has its issues but it does so much perfectly.

Pros:
- Beautiful art style and graphics, blending the best of 343's recent direction with the classic Bungie themes everybody loved.
- Very solid, fun gameplay which feels like classic halo despite introducing new mechanics which (unlike Halo 5) enhance the gameplay rather than replacing it.
- Campaign has an interesting story with meaningful character development and is of the length I would expect from a Halo game. Leaves me genuinely wanting to find out what happens next which is more than I can say for any of 343's previous campaigns.
- The music in this game is stunning, in a true return to form for halo.

Cons:
- Would recommend looking at some benchmarks before you buy as the game can be very demanding, especially on older hardware.
- The multiplayer, at this point is not as fully featured as I would expect from a Halo game at release, though 343 has made assurances they are working hard to rectify this.
- Free to play multiplayer is riddled with all the symptoms of that disease: aggressive micro-transactions etc. Can be safely ignored if all you care about is gameplay, but hopefully the stink this is kicking up in the Halo community will be enough to convince Microsoft to allow 343 to implement a less exploitative system.
