So guys here is my FNAF 2 theory: you play as a pedophile

so in FNAF 2 you receive a series of phone calls from a dude dubbed as "Phone Guy".in the call that you receive in night 1, Phone Guy comments on how amazing the animatronics are because of their facial recognition and that they are linked up to a database of child predators allowing them to keep kids safe from harm. in the call that you receive on I believe night 4 or 5, he comments on how the animatronics' facial recognition has been tampered with and that they will just stare at adults. of course, you as the player, must be an adult (or at least a late teen which is close enough to be seen as an adult, at least by robots) because you are working a job. the animatronics don't just stare at you though, they attack you because they don't see you as a regular adult, but as pedophile.
