15.5 hrs on record
Enjoyed this game when it originally released, and loved this remake just as much. It's not a 10/10, but the story, gameplay, style, and dialog will keep you playing.
-The game, with most of the side objectives/collectibles, takes around 15 hours.
I'd recommend playing through some of the story missions before you explore to unlock the movement
upgrades first.
-Story is cheeky, entertaining, and loaded with 1950's references. Might not be everyone cup of coffee, but it's a throw back to when games could write mostly anything and not have folks get ticked off. If you're looking for a deep, enriching story try anywhere else but a game titled, "Destroy All Humans!".
-Gameplay is a blast! The jetpack, and dash mechanics make this mini-bullet hell a joy to roam around in. The guns each have their uses, but you could play with whatever your favorite is. Ammo isn't really a problem when all the objects around you could be turned into ammo. The flying saucer is fun for the first couple times you're in it, but most of the time you'll be on the ground.
-Style is pleasing to look at. The character models look like dolls, but after awhile I got used to it. The artwork for the products, billboards, poster, etc. has that classic 1950's feel to them.
-The dialog can be hit-or-miss due to the reference material being so dated. For the most part, I still enjoyed the large majority of the lines. Voice actors did an amazing job here! Having Richard Horvitz, the voice actor of Invader Zim, didn't hurt either. It sounds like the cast loved working on this project.

-The cons:
"When you move too quickly on foot you can experience some frame rate issues. SKATEing around the map looking for collectibles and completing the races are the only times that this was ever an issue. It wasn't game breaking or anything.
"There isn't a map to look at. There's a mini-map, but no traditional "level" map to reference where you are. I can see for some people this could be annoying to never know where you are if you're not good with directions.
"The humor might not be your style. As well, if you're a communist it also won't be your style. The game takes place during the Red Scare, so no punches are held.

-The pros:
"Day one of playing this I didn't encounter one game crashing/breaking bug! I actually got a finished product from a studio/developer that cared enough to test the game. I cannot wait for a Destroy All Humans! 2 remake if they put in the same level of care for that as this one.
"Movement is the best thing I never knew I needed. The dashing doesn't have a cooldown, so you can just spam it on the ground to dodge, run over, everything. If you don't like the story or anything else I'd still recommend it due to the gameplay loop being such a good time.
"It's small but, the news headlines that spin transition onto screen are fantastic. How the news gets the story wrong every time made me laugh. You'll probably stop reading the articles half way through the story, but they're funny to read as little breaks in gameplay.

8/10 from this stranger on the internet.
