Started playing when the game went free to play, and I am hooked. Destiny is really confusing for new players, but just look up a few guides, find the story missions, and then you will get a feel for how to play the game. The main selling point of this game is the gunplay, obviously. Every gun has a different "feel" to it that's unique and makes me want to try each one. Personally I'm a solo player, but there are tons of cool things you can do with friends in this game as well. If you're on the fence about this, definitely give it a try. Even if you never buy anything, there's still a ton of content to enjoy.

I really didn't think I would like this game. I'm not a fan of games with a depressing atmosphere, but it was on sale for a ridiculously low price, everyone recommended it, and I'm a LOTR fan, so I finally bought it, and I'm glad I did. The combat is fairly standard "Arkham" combat, the main story is average, but the rest of the game really shines. Character progression is actually fun and rewarding. I ran around for hours just grinding without realizing it, going on missions killing orcs so I could get better upgrades and perks, all before I could even recruit anyone. On top of that, the nemesis system really does make your battles feel personal. I recommend this game for anyone who wants interesting and compelling enemies in an RPG.

Part well-written RPG, part tower defense, all great. There are only two things I wish were better about this game. For one, the tower defense mechanics themselves are nothing to write home about. They feel pretty basic. Second, this game is short. You can finish the main storyline in just a few hours, easily, and after that there's not much to keep the game interesting. Still, for what it is, I recommend this game on sale for tower defense fans, or for those who are completely new to the genre.
