God I need more character interactions, reading the wiki is like a drip feed of interesting trivia that I would have loved to learn organically. Good game otherwise.

Great concept and loads of fun when the conditions are right.

But the game follows lethal company very much down to its faults.

Its incredibly punishing for no reason and it makes playing the game for fun substantially less fun. If you lose the camera for whatever reason you have to walk out completely empty handed. No fun footage to look at, footage that you worked so hard on, and the lack of getting views pretty much grantees your runs demise and loss of everything you've purchased.

The devs should at the very least add a mode where you can't lose a run and preferably even make it so you can look at your footage no matter what happens to your camera.

An amazing game, a game that understood why getting over it was so enjoyable, I could feel myself getting better and better each fall and I could probably beat the game again in a fraction of the time.

Now its not perfect, the second to last area (like 1/3rd of my game time was dedicated to this one location alone) features a lot of precise climbing where if you fail you fall all the way to the last "checkpoint" and have to start again, this underhands the entire rest of the game to this point where if you fell you almost always had a good chance of grabbing onto something and not falling that far, unless on specific deadly fall spots.

This the game always saves on leaving(I dont know how saving works if you alt-f4/crash) and if you do something like pause or leave while grabbed onto something you will be firmly glued to that grab until you press your inputs again. Being able to press space to pull yourself up worked wonders on not killing my wrists and made hard jumps easier, but it did pull me into some bad habits.

Now the game only needed an Australian to babble in your ear.

Big recommend from big Getting over it fan

Quite enjoyable game, there are a few incredibly hard parts, a couple "RNG" sections, a couple of weird spawn orientations, constantly dying by hitting your head into the ground trying to build momentum and dying to a checkpoint pole is beyond infuriating.

Otherwise the game was fairly consistent, I just wish you could lock your camera angle to ~80 degrees or so that you never have to die trying to build momentum, there are very few sections where you might actually want to turn your camera past that.

Library of ruina is my favorite game of all time and its a shame that this game feels like an extremely watered down version of its gameplay. It removes everything that was fun about it and replaces it with either nothing or downgrades.

Visual novel sections are fine but feel way too slow paced with constantly fighting the same enemy between what should be connected story and greeting new characters that aren't generic grunt 2# once in a blue moon.

Game looks great, it has a good concept, voice acting is mostly good and there are like 3 fun/interesting quests.

Otherwise almost all of the quests are very simple fetch quests with little to no substance, having the worst stealth I've played in a game and being incredibly short for its price tag.

There is not much to say about the quests, an npc will tell you to go somewhere, mark it on the map and when you come back they either give you scrap or a weapon. Theres 3 quests that require little more than just walking.

The stealth boils down to enemies walking in the same circle pattern making an extremely loud sound. If they see you, you have to either run 5 minutes away from the dungeon, lure them to the train to shoot them or simply run past them.
They deal 10% of your health bar in a single shot, have to stand still for multiple seconds to shoot and you'll regen your health back faster than they can generally damage you. So after the first dungeon and being stopped in the second one I just ran through all remaining dungeons without any risk.

You fight Charles only a couple of times (mostly because the length of the game) and its just firing at him until he leaves, you can keep changing weapons, but that's pretty much how far the strategy goes in this game.

The game is also optimized very poorly from what I've heard, personally I was lucky enough not to have run any frame drops, other than opening the map tanking my frames into oblivion each and every time I opened it.

It's a shame because I absolutely adore the concept (being the reason I bought this in the first place), having a mobile base that's your only real safe heaven that you have to venture away from to upgrade and manage it. I think the game suffers from having only one big bad since you never have to learn to adapt or do stuff like weapon switching.

It's pretty clear some aspects of this game are meant to be satire and the game doesn't take itself seriously, I dont like calling things unfunny, but there wasn't any actual attempts at jokes in the game, everything felt like the dev was trying to be as absurdist as possible.

While I don't think the game was meant to be a cash grab, its just barely long enough to be pushed out of steams refund policy, released before giving it enough proper development time for the scope, costing way too much, getting increasingly less and smaller updates and having a plushie announced of charlie almost immediately after the games release.
