Remember the Holodomor
Remember the bloody history of all "socialist" states
Remember the tentative balance of democracy, and how it pivots on human spirit; and sacrifice
Then when the ephemeral gap between the rivers of blood we call war evaporates, let the river run red instead with the blood of tyrants and despots alike.
For the mantle of freedom has grown no less thirsty in a hundred years, nor will it a thousand.
