I highly recommended this authentic WW1 Shooter. The game has outstanding visuals and very easy to get into. Certain servers are more highly populated than others but the bots are decent enough if you don't plan to PvP much.

I had to write a review to justify losing ~4k+ hours of my adult life to this game.
Play Kards if you love:
1) A CCG that is based on WW2 and inspired by a simple yet elegant game mechanic, detailed unit and hardware lore and authentic period propaganda poster art. This game has all that in abundance.
2) A real challenging yet balanced game with unique perspective of struggle where the interaction of cards mechanics and positional nuance determines the outcome of a battle.
3) A CCG that rewards new players with a plethora of in game Achievements and Daily rewards that allow you to obtain Gold to buy card and campaign packs, Resources to craft new cards and random cards to supplement the ones that come with the Starter decks.
4) Multiple game formats; daily PvP Battles, Training vs AI, Draft and Tournaments. There’s also a Ladder progression which is quite competitive with monthly winners qualifying for shot at the ultimate prize of World champ.
All in all it’s been a long but worthwhile journey. The game is not without its flaws and finding the right balance is difficult after new cards are released but the Devs are active and player complaints are ultimately addressed.

Early Access Review
Highly recommended. Outstanding mechanics and visual design. Easy to learn but takes time to master. Each faction feels unique and the game allows interesting interactions between factions via the lane enchantments, artifacts and spells which makes the deckbuilding very interesting. Looking forward for more additional cards and content from these Devs.

Buy this game if you:
1) Like tactical turn based squad management games
2) Like RPGs and character development
3) Like the Warhammer Universe and especially Mordheim
4) Like rats that gang up and kill humans

Don't buy this game if you:
1) Hate Permadeath
2) Hate a real challenge & RNG
3) Hate lost limbs and mind
4) Hate rats that gang up and kill humans

With over 2000 hours under my belt, I can safely say that this is one of the best games I've played on Steam.

I've never written a review on Steam but this game made me feel obliged to write. I may only have played E:C for 4 hours but in all of my 25+ years of gaming I have not come across such a game. Kudos to the developers! A heady blend of RPG, Turn based combat and exploration unlike any out there in the market. What really shines through, though, is the text intensive interactions between You and each party member. The conversations, although scripted, has enough choices to make the story seem seamless. I'm really looking forward to playing more of this and any similar efforts from this Dev team.

Edit: I've had more playtime on this game and so far it has been challenging even on 'Normal' level. My biggest problem has been keeping my men (and women!) happy, motivated, disease free and in fighting order. The moment any of the party members get even mildly hurt or sick he or she cannot perform ANY of the Camp chores and this leaves the party shorthanded, especially if you find yourself in areas where the threats (either from the natives or thieves) are HIGH. This often leads to frustration when your carefully husbanded resources disappear overnight. I also feel that the Healing process is well implemented though probably too realistic and very taxing on Medicine supplies. More to come!
