This game is great, especially considering it came from 1 person mostly.

A great throwback to classic retro FPS games. Soundtrack is killer, art style is great, weapons are varied, fun to use and sound super meaty.

Support the devs, they 100% deserve it!

One of those games, a hidden gem!

Pros:
- Decently long game, took me around 10 hours first time on Hard to beat.
- Difficulty is fair and goes with natural progression,easy at beginning and gets harder over time. (Expect that bull**** Gloktigi boss, it's mechanics are terrible).
- Haven't played the original version, but the HD port looks great, runs really well and smooth, controls are responsive (Kb/M,people have issues with controllers tho), switching between 1st and 3rd person is smooth.
- Story is surprising and really good. Won't spoil anything, but I find the change of mood and feel through the game interesting and they pulled it off really well.
- World is just great, it's set in the same universe as other Oddworld games, but you only get few minor "winks" on them, nothing too big and on the nose. I just love all the weird creatures and the art style in general.
- They really nailed the "western" feel to it, you get from town to town, collect bounties, bring them back. You don't have any markers or map on where you need to go, except you need to ask townfolks most of the time where is someone or where to go, it just gives it a western vibe and I love it. And in the world, you rely on the environment where to go or what to do. Game doesn't hold your hands.
- Weapon, or more like ammunition types. You have only 1 weapon, your crossbow. But the fun comes in the different ammo types, that you actually find in the nature (you are using living bugs and animals as ammo). Both creative and funny at the same time, and you need to almost always switch it up, depending on the situation.
- No any issues whatsoever on my end, as far as performance goes.
- Cinematics are well made.

Cons:

- Stranger's voice. I mean he looks badass and has it's moments, but his voice actor just sucks. I get they were going with the "serious cowboy" thing, but his voice just sucks and it was super off putting on first.
- Enemy AI is not always great, sometimes they'll stare at me and won't notice me at all.
- Swimming is terrible, thankfully there aren't any forced, long sections of it, but even those brief moments suck.
- I've mentioned them already, but Gloktigi boss fights are just horrible. Especially where at one point you fight them 2 at the same time. Basically if they get near you, you're pretty much f***** and you better be reloading that quick save. And at range they just spam the slime thing which ties you up, but by the time you free yourself, 1 second later they fire at you again and half the times you'll get tied again. Rinse and repeat. You have to experience it yourself to get the point.

Not gonna lie, first hour of this game didn't grab me. But I kept going on and as story and gameplay went along, I started to like it more and more, and by the end I loved it! It's a definition of hidden gem, and it's sad it didn't perform well. It's criminally cheap, so I fully recommend it!

Almost 11 years old... Single player game... On Steam only!

That alone tells you everything. Yes, it has a classic "Bethesda bugs" and issues (runs on same engine as their other games), but what makes up for that is the setting, locations, combat and the most strongest aspect of it : writting. It's actually insane how many dialogue options you have and you decide what outcome will happen. I can't think any other game that has done something like this... And that's in my opinion the most important aspect of RPG game.

For a dirt cheap, you'll get one of the best RPGs of all time!

Gonna be honest, this game is hot garbage.

It was maybe hot stuff back in the day, but it has aged super bad.
The only reason I can see why people are giving it good reviews is because of nostalgia, nothing else.
I'm playing it for the first time ever and the only thing I can say is good is the soundtrack (even tho I can't stand the looping tracks per level, but this one I don't mind because it's actually good).

Rest of the game tho, terrible. Level design is just all over the place, everything is random, combat is repetitive and it gets old super fast (I'm just skipping most of the enemies now), controls are ♥♥♥♥ (platforming sucks), literally no story or anything at all (you're just thrown in from the very start like "go, shoot stuff"), weapons are nothing special (bow is kinda cool tho).

I'm still recommending it because these guys didn't make it, they just remastered it and they did a decent job I guess. Otherwise, no point in playing this.

More like Deus Ex: The Fail.

I mean, PC port of a mobile game, nothing else to say.
Terrible voice acting, horrible graphics, super super short (you can finish it in hour or so, if you already familiar with how Deus Ex works), you can't jump (?!?!) etc. It's just an unpolished garbage.
I will say one though, I can see this kinda doing okay-ish on mobile, I applaud the effort, but as for PC... No.
Even if you are fan of the franchise/genre, avoid this even if it's free.

It's criminal how this game is dirt cheap on sale, while it offers you sooooo much!

Amazing, especially the ending... One of those games when you finish them and you just sit there while credits are rolling, you're staring at the screen and just thinking about the meaning of life lol

What can I say except that this game is fantastic!

My first entry to Deus Ex franchise, and what a way to go in. This game is really well made, with lots of options to deal with the situations, kinda like Dishonored games.
You can even finish it without killing a single soul, and that's what I love most about it. And that damn soundtrack, it's superb.

Totally recommend this, and the first one too! I can't even decide which one is better for me tbh.

The only thing that you can ignore is Breach, which is just mobile-game-like-money-grabbing garbage. I was sooo dissapointed when I realised super fast how it operates and what it's about.

Just please don't waste your money on Cyberpunk, this game is better cyberpunk game than Cyberpunk is.

This is one of the most generic, boring, repetitive games I've ever played.

Pros:

- Level design is not bad, it's mixed with unique locations.
- Some of the skyboxes and lightning is great, even to this day.
- Time rewind ability is cool, but sadly not used well.
- Some of the enemies have cool designs.

Cons:

- From the very start, our main character just keeps on talking and talking and talking, and it's mostly nonsense. Voice acting is horrible, everyone sounds like they aren't even trying, it's like all was made in one take. Just terrible, and the writting is even worse.
- I'm shocked there are many positive reviews praising story, what the f*** ? What story are we talking about here? You won't even know most of the time what you are doing and fighting for.
- Platforming sucks, because movement sucks.
- Shooting seems tacked on.
- It's one of those games where 95% of it is filled with cutscenes, including the ones where you press every f****** switch and it shows a 5 second cutscene of, for example, door opening. It just ruins the flow of the game, especially if you are hunting achievements and you have to do multiple playthroughs. I hate these kind of games, you can actually see enemies in the distance and when you get closer to them, it starts a 5 second cutscene of showing them how they stand there... What the f*** ?
- There should have been more collectibles, you have some notes throughout the game that you don't care about and some chests that contain items, but that's all bare bones.
I mean, you play as female character in third person mode and yet there only exists 3 costumes in the whole game! There should be 10 at least, I mean these types of games thrive on it.
- Gameplay is repetitive and gets boring really fast.

Not recommending it, even for this price or sale price. Not worth your time and effort.

One of the best. Plain and simple.
