Let me set the scene:

We are on the Sol team, and it's just us vs the crabs. We are doing ok, industry is slowing down but we are doing better than the enemy, or so we thought. Then, as I catch some air off a dune, I see it in the valley below me: a literal swarm of aliens, I'm talking at least 100, consisting of every enemy type there is. My team started to panic; there is no way we were gonna win this with what we got (we lost most of our vehicles a bit earlier) so we decided to fall back to base and prepare.

Most of us are just infantry at this point, so we bunker down behind a dune and prepare for the onslaught. It was awe-inspiring as we saw the aliens peek over the horizon with four goliaths looming over them all. Imagine the bug battle scene from the Starship Troopers movie, just like that but with far fewer humans and far more sand. Needless to say, we lost, and we didn't last long but damn this was one of my best games so far.


This is a great game so far, and it has so much potential and room to grow, but I would like to go over some issues and recommendations I have with the game so far (and this will be quick because other reviews already point these out.

1. Right now, there need to be more tutorials of any kind which is needed for this game. It doesn't need to be to complex, but something basic would do
2. These will most likely be fixed in the future so I'm just going to list them quick: AI pathing, video optimization, lag, and ease of use for joining servers.
3. Human infantry feels really, really weak; anything above a normal crab would require a buggy to take care of. The commando rife feels like what the basic infantry should have for players. It would also be cool to see jetpacks be implemented for basic infantry as well because moving around the map is really annoying. Infantry also feels really boring throughout the game, mainly because anything of interest is happening too far away from you, and you have no easy means of getting there and back.
3.1. Also, I think there should be more specialized roles for infantry. For example, commando gets c4 or an engineer class that can repair vehicles.
4. VOIP is a must in this game and I don't see it not being added in the future. In the same vein, fps players should be able to tell who else on their team is a player, something as simple as a name pop-up when you look at them.
5. There are a few quality-of-life features that need to be implemented on the RTS side of this game. Like audio queues when you select troops.
6. Make it so we can interact with the map as an fps player: zoom in and out, hover over an icon to find out what it is kind of stuff.
6.5. One more thing, I tried scrolling down the player list when I pressed tab but it wasn't working, not sure if I was doing something wrong or not.
7. Color code the chat so we know who is on whose team and we know if a message is in team or all chat.
8. some of the guns are impossible to aim with at night because the muzzle flash takes up the sight.
9. More graphics settings would be appreciated.
10. Customisable key binds.


There are plenty of other issues and recommendations I have but these are my main ones. I think this is a fantastic game so far and I will definitely be playing more.
