This game controls like absolute trash and the gunplay is awful. Go play any other Multiplayer FPS. A few examples are Overwatch, Battleborn, Titanfall 2, Dirty Bomb, TF2, and the Examples go on and on. All them of better high mobility, class based shooters.

Summary of review:
For those of you who play for the PvE in this series, get this game. However for those who play the game for the PvP, to put it frankly, it's a waste of time.

If you have never played a souls game before or love the PvE in this series then definitely buy the game and it's DLC. However with that said I cannot recommend this to PvP players. Let’s get to the meat of the review.

The PvP in this game is the worst of every single souls game. Invasions are awful, it’s just invaders getting ganked by 4 people 90% of the time. Which is how PvP invasions are intended to be in this iteration. Which is a very strange decision since invaders are at a disadvantage, I think you can figure out how this ♥♥♥♥♥ up PvP yourself. Sorcery and miracles are completely useless in PvP. They never hit , they have insanely slow casting speeds, and require a HUGE level investment to make even slightly viable. with pyromancy being the exception. Also the dark magic class of spells, added in DS2 which many people liked, isn't an actual class of spells there are just spells that do dark damage, like in DS1. Furthermore the only weapons you will see used in this game are the paired weapons or ultra greatswords/axes/curved greatswords, with nothing else being viable, except for possibly long swords. I mentioned paired weapons earlier, this brings up another thing people liked in DS2 that was removed. Duel wield stances for weapons. I understand why they might remove this for balance reasons, but it removes a ton of depth from the game's combat. On top of all of that the PvP community seems to be full of asshats that can’t do basic math because the PvP level meta is the same as DS1's or lower making for incredibly restricted builds, especially considering there is one more attribute and the major changes to other attributes. There are also duels, but they have their own issues on top of the ones I mentioned earlier. And That's all I have to say about PvP so let's move on.

With all of that said let's move on to the PvE. It's amazing. The level design is fantastic, the bosses are varied and difficult, and the trash mobs tend to be difficult too. The first thing I'd like to talk about are trash mobs. They are generally varied and fun to fight(Except dogs, ♥♥♥♥ them) There are some issues with trash mobs though, the major one being they are insanely aggressive, making them just not fun to fight. Some mobs also just don't telegraph attack well enough. That's all I have to say about trash mobs(Insert trash joke here). I mentioned the boss fights briefly earlier and to build on that, they are amazing and probably the best in the series. It seems that the devs finally realized dudes in armour, while cool, are not exactly very interesting to fight after the tenth one. So the devs took a note from Bloodborne and added giant monsters that like to eat you. However there are still more dude in armour boss fights then there needs to be. Another thing fairly new to the Souls series is boss phases which are interesting and very well executed. One example (spoilers AHOY!) is the first bossfight. The dude in armour explodes into a puss monster(end of spoilers). So yeah PvE is amazing and fun.

And, finally, DLC. It's okay I guess not to much to say about it except it's got more cool bosses, and a whole lot more ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

P.S.
If you do decide to play this game, I hope you have fun and are prepared to die.
0/10 not enough ♥♥♥♥♥
