I want to preface this review with the fact that Remnant 1 and 2 are two of my absolute favorite games, and I really respect Gunfire Games as a studio. With that being said, I don't quite know if I would recommend this DLC if you're expecting the same level of content as the DLC in Remnant 1.

Playing through the DLC in Co-op on Veteran difficulty, I made it through the Losomn One-Shot adventure (A new kind of Adventure you can generate one time only that ensures most if not all new content for the area is present) in just a little over 3 hours. Granted, we haven't gotten everything there is to obtain, but we were quite thorough with our exploration of the new area for the most part.

That's pretty on-par with the other zones I do believe, however, it does rub me the wrong way just a little bit for a few reasons.

1: The final boss was surprisingly easy to kill. We first-tried him, and I only needed to use a single Dragon Heart through the encounter. Again, it was on Veteran, far from the hardest difficulty, but the moveset of the boss itself doesn't really strike me as it being too terribly difficult even on a higher difficulty, not to mention the fact I was running an incredibly un-optimal build which I threw together for the hell of it a few days prior.

2: There's a lot of re-use of assets from the base-game Losomn, especially for the dungeons. I have no problem with reusing assets, one of my favorite games of all time is Fallout New Vegas. But the areas besides the main overworld for the new area feel far too similar to areas from the base game, down to the layouts of some dungeons feeling like they took some of the dungeons from the base game and just added little extra parts to them.

3: This is my biggest complaint with the DLC, and it is the amount of content for the price you pay feels a little less compared to Remnant: From the Ashes' DLCs. Both it's DLCs were also priced at $10, and while Swamps of Corsus added less actual new content, it did introduce the Survival mode to the game, which is where I spent the vast majority of my time in Remnant 1 due to the incredible replay value. Meanwhile Subject 2923 added a new smaller campaign, an entire new realm in the form of Reisum, many new bosses, etc.

Now, i'm not saying the DLC isn't good. I did enjoy what I played, and I am looking forward to hunting down the last of the items I need to go and acquire, but I just feel that compared to the rest of Remnant 2, and Remnant 1's DLC that it was a bit of a letdown.

Can't say i'd recommend this one, especially if you're already accustomed to better VR shooters like H3VR. Guns feel unwieldy and weightless, the missions are laughably terrible, and all anyone seems to do in multiplayer is host lame sniper only lobbies. Just go buy H3VR if you're looking for a good VR shooter.
