Awesome game that is plenty stress relieving.
Surprisingly well-optimized and polished for early access, only minor visual/audio bugs.
If you want to compare, this is stress-free besiege.

This is a great story.
I binged the whole thing, and replayed some saves.

A good experience.
This game may be old, but it does support native 4K and it's more beautiful than you would expect.
Music hit hard.

This is my first Doom Game.
It is glorious.
I can't believe how fluid they managed to make this almost ... arcade ... experience.
Aim at different parts of a staggered demon to perform different glory kills, so there is more variety to play with. On top of that, the visuals and the soundtrack are great.

That aside, I think the gameplay is well-balanced between platforming, exploration and ripping and tearing.
The tools and items that are gradually unlocked keep new options and new content available, rewarding you for unlocking things by allowing you to fight new demons using their weak points to your advantage.
The graphics, although realistic, have a certain cartoony feel, which makes them stand out from the environment, making it clear they don't belong.
The platforming is easy to figure out as well, especially if you are a veteran gamer. Exploration (hidden secrets & lore), on the other hand, may require some more intense hunting. Always check behind you, or just get the minimap upgrade that shows you the general area the items are in.
All these options are available to you, and progression is smooth. If it's too hard, then turn down the difficulty. Easy as that. The point of a game is to have fun, and OH BOY does this fulfil that purpose. This game is great for unstressing.
The environment also contributes to worldbuilding through various details in the environment, and one thing really pops out to me. You can actually SEE WEAPON MODS. YOU CAN EVEN GO BACK TO BASE AND LOOK AT THEM IN DETAIL THROUGH THE MENU ON YOUR COLLECTIBLES WALL. There's nothing lazy about this game, and as a first-time DOOM player (or any kind of arcade shoot-ups), I'm more than impressed.
You can tell they put effort into this project and listened to the community.
Worth every penny.
