Alright, it's been a few years since I first purchased this game, and it's been quite the ride.
Let me make one thing abundantly clear, I absolutely LOVE this game. It's great to play with friends or even randoms. The gameplay can be engrossing...
It CAN be.

After almost 700 hours of playing this game, I have started seeing the holes in the game's design. Don't buy what the community will tell you over and over again, this game is absolutely not balanced well at all. With the right skill you can revive players through walls instantly with no penalty, some weapons and other skills are outright busted, and the difficulties are all out of wack. It goes from normal, which is so laughably easy now that it might as well be called baby mode, all the way up to death sentence, a difficulty so brutally and unfairly difficult that you can be downed in 2 shots from across the map by some dude with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Glock. The worse part? The higher up in difficulty you go, the more restricted the builds get. Too many things just begin to fall out of usefulness the higher you ascend. Remember that skill I mentioned earlier that was busted? It's known as inspire aced, and it's absolutely required to bring along for death sentence. Additionally, you cannot use any weapons that do not benefit from damage buffs, as they become pea shooters at high difficulties. Some form of damage boosting ability is required, and conversely, tank builds become completely useless outside of stoic, a perk deck that is so laughably broken that you become practically invulnerable when you use it.

And don't even get me started on the bugs. This game is full of them. It can and will crash somewhat often. There are many ways the game can soft-lock during a good portion of heists, and there are a load more bugs that can break lobbies and force players to restart.

And yet, despite all of that, this game holds a place in my heart. I loved every second of this game (ok maybe that's stretching it a bit) and I don't regret playing it. If you wanna get into it, I absolutely recommend it. When the game is good, it can be so fun your forget about all of the issues it has if only just for a moment. If you wanna get this game, get a group of friends, and try your heart out. If the bugs or severe design issues bother you, there's always plenty of mods you can install to make the game better for yourself, and trust me when I say there are some great, game-changing mods out there.
