this game is flawed but one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had with adventure puzzle games. it takes a gorgeous art-style and wonderful soundtrack and creates an experience like no other, with lore and locations that will keep you playing, if just to see where you go next, even if it may take a few hours of exploring aimlessly and clicking randomly for those who may not be used to this style of game.
I give it an 8/10, a near perfect game with flaws that might only affect some.

Pros:
Art-style and soundtrack are 10/10

Chapter 5 and 8 are my personal favorites as they have a solid combination of puzzle and exploration that i feel no other chapter does as well.

Chapters 9 and 10, despite not being my favorites, are well worth playing and really are the most refined parts of the game.

Optional levels probably have my favorite puzzles in the game, but are quite short. (disclaimer: i have not completed all of the optional chapters, so i cannot speak for all of them)

Cons:
some things are not conveyed well, have fun spending a long time wandering around looking for that one item you missed or trying to figure out why you need to do this one thing that has no logical reasoning.
Chapter 4 had this a lot, and Chapter 3 relied a lot on luck for some puzzles, even though it was short lived.
(I do recommend reading every note/paper/image/etc etc etc because it will provide info for some puzzles.)

You cannot move items around a screen if you grabbed it from that screen, this results in a lot of back and forth between the inventory and the world screen, resulting in a lot of chapter 5 being rough to get through.

there's A LOT of meaningless interactables in the world.
sometimes this is fine, like the art posted around that might contain puzzles and are cool to look at,
other times you have... drawers.
i cant remember off the top of my head but i think there were maybe one or two items that were gained from drawers despite almost every drawer being openable, and you cant open more than one drawer on a table/desk/etc at once, which makes for poor exploration incentive.

Quake Titanfall. perfecting this game requires both aim, understanding of enemies, and movement skill. it is some of the most fun i have had recently and i cannot recommend it enough. it may be a short game on a first playthrough but its meant to be replayed and perfected and so length means nothing.

when a game makes the 2016 reboot (or sequel i guess now right?) feel like halo CE in comparison, you know you've got a good game on your hands

ive got 11 hours in this game and i have been to 3 biomes.
are there problems with the base mechanic of biome locking gear? sure.
however, i feel like the gameplay and exploration themselves make up for this odd choice of design.

each quest may be the same in each biome, but the amount of quests and objectives to complete along with the amount of gear and customization are truly remarkable for 2 people, especially with them restarting it from scratch and most likely not working on it full time.

the lore itself is interestingly tied to the world by either talking about artifacts, flavor text or names of weapons, or areas on the map. And this makes searching for lore books or tombs worth it in my eyes.

i understand not everyone likes the rinse repeat, idle game formula, especially done in an open world RPG like this.
i feel like if we had traditional skill trees this game would be so much better, because i kind of understand why they made the region locking choice: to make each area as fulfilling as possible and to create a real sense of accomplishment in completing an area or finding a relic.

overall i think this game isnt perfect, and it needs some editing and fixing in some departments. but its not bad, not bad at all.

edit: after playing a bit longer i am starting to appreciate the detail and amount of items, artwork, and assets are in this game. i didnt play alot of the alpha but this feels like a real world, eve if it is in voxel.
