urther addressing the confusion on loot boxes, the game does have War Chests, and these do resemble loot boxes, but you cannot purchase them with real money, and everything they unlock is also purchasable with in game currency which you really do earn very quickly. You earn War Chests by leveling up your player level. Once you hit lvl 50, every single level after that will 100% give you a War Chest. It's it only there so you can continue to unlock things when you level up.
Please stop giving the game a bad rap without looking into its systems. If you don't want the season pass, and don't like cosmetics being sold for real money, then just don't buy them. The game itself is perfectly fun without them.
Edit: Also just want to say as someone who has played the game quite a bit, most of the coolest skins imo, are ones you earn in game for free. Like Witch Doctor's Stego suit, or Zephry's Mu Cephei suit.
