Takes the best elements of MW2019 and Battlefield4 to create a pretty good game.
It has some issues but none so bad that its worth not getting/refunding.
I would highly recommend to get in on this game early and help it grow 8/10

Time simply burns away on this game, try and keep an eye on it or you will end up still awake at 10:40 needing to still finish work. Totally not whats happened as I am writing this.

I paid full price for this and i regret it, it not a complete disaster but it was the first campaign and that does show.

(I am writing this a day after completing it)

THIS IS MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE AND IT IS DIFFERENT FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE


-PROS-
If you like the story of Caesar in Gaul then its a good purchase on sale, its very fun to play against friends in multiplayer and has all the correct historical characters and events. It really shines playing as Caesar and battling against hordes of Gauls and Germans but the game fails in what it tries to achieve.

-CONS-
- The Roman roster is large but really could be expanded a bit (mods do fix this)
- The Gallic rosters are ok but again could be expanded, playing against them can get very repetitive
- The Mid game crisis is kind of ridiculous but it depends on personal views of it
- Here's my biggest problem i found - The goal of dividing and conquering in my experience is completing absent. The tribes have always united against me and very very rarely fought amongst themselves, i think CA wanted players to engage in devious politics with the different clans but they always end up hating me a few turns in with the only friend i have being the Vicontii. It normally ends up in my experience being a constant war against massive confederations who will ♥♥♥♥ out armies of Oathsworn later in the game. I managed to complete it by Bribing alot a clans with alot of money to be my friends and them slowly conquering the objectives but i wish that it really was more divide and conquer.

I really hated giving this a down vote but i felt like the price pushes it over that edge.
