I was seriously enjoying this game until crossed a line where I felt that I cannot in good conscience recommend it.

There is a route in this game where the main character is drugged and there is a stereotypical fade-to-black. The next morning the text literally says "the marks hidden beneath her clothes were proof of the time they'd spent together." The character is literally drugged and assaulted by this man. Even if you don't believe that she was sexually assaulted, she was physically assaulted enough to leave evidence. The things said by the man during this scene were also disgusting enough to turn my stomach.

While we must be wary of viewing another culture's art by our own moral metric, we must also remember that sexual violence is an epidemic, and this sort of situation is an all too common occurrence. We shouldn't normalize it and call it love.

For a short, free game, this was fun. Some parts were unbearably frustrating - I could not turn the sound off to save my soul - but the story was interesting. For less than an hour's worth of play time, it was enjoyable.

So .... this game has incest. If that bothers you - like me - don't play it.

One character is your twin, the other is your dad. Apparently, them coming from another world - but having all the memories of growing up with you - makes this okay. It's frankly creepy, and I wish I had seen another review like this one before I got this game.

I wanted to like this game. I really did. But with the hefty price tag, the way that one tiny scheduling error could lock you out of multiple endings, and the ever present skill grinding - I just can't! After watching a youtuber play this game, I even decided to use a guide, and I *still* found myself locked out of routes because of a tiny error here or there. It's absolutely infuriating! Not to mention that the way the game is built, the most that guide writers can do a lot of the time is give you a rough estimate of when or where to do something.

This game was possibly the most boring visual novel I've ever played. It was long-winded and stuffy, and wanted desperately to appear more intelligent than it actually was. Even paying nothing for this game was too much, because I lost my precious time.

*EDIT*
An ever helpful commenter pointed out the amount of time I played the game, and said that maybe the game wasn't flawed, maybe I was just impatient. I'll have to agree on one point: I was most certainly impatient! From the first screen I clicked through through the the last I forced myself to read (I think it was something like forty? forty-one?), I was *impatient* that the experience be over, that the endless lines would spark something of interest. So I guess that, yes, impatience was my besetting sin.

This game is a visual novel that is definitely not for the faint of heart. There are themes that are a little ... unsettling, to say the least (There's an achievement simply labeled "Squick," for general reference). However, I found the story pretty engrossing.

The game is short, but considering it's free, that's more than understandable. I loved the underlying themes of love vs. hate in this game, and the exploration of the different types of love and their value.

As a general warning, there are themes of abuse in this game, so if you're unable to play a game with those kind of things in it, I'd avoid it.

This is a quick, fascinating game. I'm actually wishing there was a sequel, so some of the questions could be answered. Great music, nice art. It's free, so there's no reason not to try it out.

I got into this game after watching a let's play video, and I'm so glad that I decided to buy it. While I disliked the busy work they put into the game - they couldn't just let it be a visual novel - the stories themselves were compelling. I will point out that at least one route is very creepy and abusive, though, so word of warning there. All in all, though, I enjoyed it immensely. What makes it extra special is the extra chapter that unlocks after you finish all the endings.
