Made a great friend by screaming at him to stop driving so I could take the shot.

In all seriousness though. THIS is the vr tank game we've been praying for. It may be very early stages of development and a solo dev (Love you Bumbi) but this has everything we want such as multi crew, Capture points, gear shifting, etc. There are definitely things that need adding but that'll come with time.

I have 7,000+ hours on this game, playing since 2017, I mainly played on PSVR and Oculus so my steam VR hour count is very small.
I'm an ex volunteer moderator for Rec Room as I resigned of my own accord due to the state of the game.

The current state of the game is appalling due to a toxic community that mainly consists of children and a development team that only cares about cosmetics rather than fixing major bugs or adding in features that have been request for the past 4 years except for the CV2 dev Tyleo, he's actually on to it and does amazing work. Their are constantly poor decisions being made by the devs such as useless UI changes which are not only making the entire community have to adapt to a new UI after having the same one for 4 years but it is also extremely poorly laid out ignoring the utmost basics of UI which makes the experience overall worse for new and old players which have constantly voiced their opinion on the changes which are being made but to no avail as the devs carry on doing it.
Rec Room seems to have become more of a fashion game than a building game as they are prioritising new outfits over releasing much needed bug fixes that have been needed for years now. During an update sometime in 2020 it made me crash constantly within 10 minutes and this was resolved back then as well however it has made crashing much more frequent than it is needed to be which still has yet to be resolved.

The port to quest although it brought many nice people to the games community it massively took a hit to the games potential as the VR is extremely limiting meaning the game has to limit not only the ink (a measurement for creating things) but also the quality of Rec Room Original content (dev made mini games and such) making playing the game worse for the players that have much better equipment such as PCVR.
There is no seperation of community to let the players with better equipment have more things to do and get an all round better experience, they are dragged down by a VR which has been known to ruin games on port such as Onward which took a huge toll on it's graphics leading to people not playing the game because of the downgrade.

The issue with the children in the game is this.
Their Code of Conduct states that users MUST be at least 13 and up. This means if you are under the age of 13 you will be put onto a junior account where you cant talk or hear people etc, this system is great and makes sense. HOWEVER, the devs market the game to people under the age of 13 (this can be seen in their poor advertisements for the game) meaning their are much more children joining the game than that can be put onto a junior account making it a living day care centre.

Another issue with their Code of Conduct is that they say they will not allow any form of harassing, paedophilia, racism etc in the game, THIS IS GREAT. The bad news however is that even with sufficient evidence they will not take action against a user (even if it 1000000% is confirmed to be them) if the issue resides outside of the game. Now, I was a moderator for the game, I had sufficient evidence of someone with pedophilia porn etc and THEY. DID. NOTHING. I couldn't report them either due to the higher ups having a say. This person is also a renowned user making them well known and teaching YOUNGER people who play the game.

I can only suggest this game to people if the devs actually got off their arses and fixed what was needed to be fixed and banned who was needed to be banned rather than sitting back and creating dresses and hair styles for the 11 year olds screaming their heads off.

All and all, they have a great support team that clearly cares about the community but the developers themselves need to actually do something with their game then make a dress up fashion show.

Great multiplayer gameplay with a nostalgic soundtrack which brings you back to the good old Halo CE days. Biggest downer is the amount of microtransactioned customisation items and the battlepass. The do a big distaste towards the game as most of the items are behind a giant paywall.

This game has changed many lives that has been affected by the lock down that the Covid-19 disease has caused. it has brought joy to us all and allowed us to meet new friends which we can call family. Even if this game were to have released outside of the lock down it would still be up the top of my list as it has allowed me to connect with some many pairs. It could bring a tear to a mans eye to see.
