Despite the balancing issues and Sony drama, the game remains great even after all this time

I played the Witcher 2 only after completing the Witcher 3. If you are like me and wanted to see what the other titles are like then I'll say this: if you enjoyed TW3 I think you'll enjoy TW2. You'll get so much more backstory on the characters you meet and all the fun politics and relationships along the way. I felt like every decision and choice I made played such a huge role in how the game branched and progressed. It's no wonder there's 3 titles to this game they've done an amazing job with this edition!

In my experience, I feel nothing in this title was spoiled by completing its predecessor prior to playing TW2. The story flowed very well and I never knew what was going to happen or what to expect. If you're able to look past the dated graphics and minor areas lacking the polish of today's standards, such as ease of UI and fluidity in controls, then there is a rich and lively world to explore!

Fantastic game. You don't need to play previous titles to get immediately sucked into the dark and dangerous world. DLC is worth its money which is a LOT to say in 2023. Game goes on sale all the time. Pick it up if you have some cash to spare you won't regret it.
