I pour my clothes bin into the machine until my bin is empty. I turn on the machine listening to the hum that resonates through the house. I watch. I watch until the machine reminds me of how it has completed its purpose with a ding. I take my clothes out of the machine. I open the twin machine and put my now wet clothes into the machine. Another, similar hum fills the house once again. I sit. I watch the machine until it is done the job it is created to do. I take my clothes from the machine, clear the lint trap, and leave the machines. They have completed their purpose.
