If you want to embrace your Imperialistic nature then Astroneer is for you, you get to colonize 9 other planets and more to come. Slaughter the natural wild life and make the ground look like a detonated Minefield all in the first 3 hours. There comes a point where you crave power and in doing so you buy the game for 'friends' (slaves) that way you colonize the planets up to 4 times faster and also colonize their wills. Thats all thanks for listening to my Ted talk buy the game I need more slaves

TL;DR if you want a game rich in story, fluid combat, amazing music and a interesting style of Coop I recommend NieR highly.

If you were wondering if you should get NieR:Automata, well in short you should

I played this game when it came out on Xbox and now I'm here again on PC. Absolute masterpiece of a game. You would think a hack n slash/bullet hell game wouldn't work but my god does Square Enix and platnum games proved us wrong, The combat is a little janky at first but after a few fights you get used to it (I recommend controller for this game)

The story takes place over 3 campaigns or "Routes" as the game calls it. Route A you play as 2B, a uptight stick to the code android whose objective is to follow commands order to wipe out all machines so humans can return to earth. Route B you play the same campaign but as 9S, a android who is laid back and curious about both humans and machines, going as far to give them names after well known philosophers. As 9S you get to see quite a bit more than you did as 2B and might even change your opinion on machines who knows. Route C I'll leave for you to find out about if you get the game. NieR:Automata is a game with a rich story with pretty damn good plot, me doing side quests and looking for weapons and enjoying the game took me 50 hours just to beat it. There are 5 main endings and 21 side ones you can find by trying stupid stuff. If you get to the end of the DLC and watch the ending of it thats another ending but don't ask me about it cause it was incredibly cursed. Besides the fact of that cursed ending. There are games before this one however if you don't want to go play those games (although I recommend them too) a lot of the major plot from the old games can be found in items around the game, even though they don't have a major impact on the game itself if you know it or not, enjoyable either way.

Okay, let me get into the music. 3 hours 33 minutes of absolute god tier music. every piece is used in coordination of the environment around you. Fighting a boss? music plays to the attacks. Wandering around exploring? calming music to relax and play too. Square Enix and Platinum games REALLY out did themselves here. Every song hits differently, some sooth your soul while others send a chill down your spine as the music grows in intensity as you fight. No matter what you're doing, there is music for it. Hell they programmed a code in so when you're hacking the music goes into 8-bit mode which was entirely unneeded but is completely welcome and I am happy they went the extra steps.

Melee Combat: This game makes the transitions so smooth between attacks. as 2B you use a weapon for light attacks and a weapon for heavy attacks and you can fluently mix the two weapons attacks into combos using both weapons elegantly. and unlike some games this game allows ANY weapon to be used as a heavy or light weapon and with the huge variety of weapons you can keep trying out different combos to see what fits your play style. You also get a pod, which gives you aid in ranged combat with bullet firing attacks or a skill you can collect. I am at the point where if I see a group of enemies I cannot help not running into the biggest group and just starting to swing and do combos.

Aerial combat: So in NieR there are missions where you get into your personal flight ship and start gunning down enemies while flying, sadly its controlled flying so you can only move in a limited space however you still get to melee in this mode and get to fire your gun in sync to obliterate your enemy. Although this is probably the weakest point of the game it is by no means disappointing, and if it isn't your cup of tea don't worry, they are short and few in missions.

"Co-op": To say there isn't online would be a lie. except it's not like other games. In NieR if someone dies their body can appear in your world and you can choose to retrieve it and get minor abilities to help you or repair it to become a teammate battle droid.

If you aren't convinced to get NieR I don't blame you. I am not very convincing HOWEVER this games is easily my favourite solo play game and will always be held dear in my heart. I am sincerely grateful to the companies that put time and hard work into this game to make it this masterpiece it is. This game is and always will be a 10/10. The story hits the feels hard and thats what they intended. Yoko Taro aimed for this to not just be a game but to be a game that makes an impact and it did. And it will continue too for the new players who play it. NieR: Automata is a phenomenal game and It is a game I recommend to everyone.
