Anmeldelse for emne med tidlig adgang
I played a lot of Everquest pre-Shadows of Luclin. With that being said, Everquest offered a lot to wonder and intrigue for its time. It was also very unforgiving in terms of mechanics. You had no map, hardly a compass (A spell which pointed you North, that was your only way to navigate) and when you died, you were brought to the beginning of the instance you died in with everything in your inventory gone attached to your corpse. You were practically naked hoping you didn't aggro any mobs in a feeble attempt to get your stuff back. Thing is, if you didn't retrieve it within a certain amount of time (24 hours if I remember correctly) your corpse would decompose with all your items along with it. Essentially making you start from scratch. What made that worthwhile was the community. It is STILL one of my favorite communities I ever experienced.

With Nostalgia presented, jumping into the world of Erenshor gave me a similar feeling to when I started playing Everquest. The only word I can describe the feeling is "magical". There was/is something about both Everquest AND Erenshor that makes me feel a sort of way when playing a game that immerses you in its world. Whether it's the pixels, the stories formed within the pixels or the community formed. I have yet to explore much of Erenshor yet, just Stowaway's Step. But you can expect some REALLY funny moments that you can only experience in an MMO:

1. You will get items while grouping with players in dungeons. If someone in your group needs it, they will have no problem asking for it. This had me laugh a bit.

2. The "Hail" system is a great callback to getting quests, forcing the player to get curious and explore more of the game rather than an easy step-by-step in-game guide leading the way robbing the magic of finding things yourself will offer.

3. There IS a difference with Erenshor that seperates it from the rest and it's this: Life happens. There's moments where you have to break away from the computer and handle something in real life. I had to go drive somewhere and left my group waiting. Unlike other MMO's where half your group is either complaining or gone, the group you formed will still be there. Waiting to grind with you without any gripes or drama.

4. Eron is as insufferable as he is an alcoholic. And I love him for that.

5. My first character was in a group to try and defeat Praxitheris. My group died and I ran away to still live not knowing the mechanics yet. Since I didn't know how to revive them by just killing myself dealing with PTSD from Everquests unforgiving system, I left the group to have a ton of "WTH I'm still dead!" and logged off. The next time I logged on and tried to group with players, the ones I was grouped with prior said in shout "Sorry, I don't play with trash". 10/10 MMO moment

Long story short, this game was more fun than I anticipated and deserves all the love. It's been one of my new favorite cozy games in a time where my internet is crap and all my friends would rather play Fortnite. Thanks, Burgee Media for making an old MMO player happy.

I couldn't count how many times I would head to a waypoint with the intent to do something that would require 10 minutes to complete and end up doing countless car battles on the way or finding a car loaded with scrap that gets my adrenaline going, using the harpoon to pull enemies out of cars or just to slingshot them across the desert. This game is super fun and the open world aspect makes this game very enjoyable and hard to stop playing. Playing it with a Titan X makes this game flawless on max settings.

This game overall is fun and a great way to wake up without caffeine. The different missions and the tension built up while playing is a really killer experience. Well worth it if you can get it on sale or have money to throw away. It won't be wasted.
