I beat this game on the 360, and I'm so happy to see a remake of this game. The game runs smoother than a knife through butter. I didn't even have to adjust any of the settings. This is by far my favorite Star Ocean. For those new to the series---Basically, you play as a guy named Edge, who is like an anime-Shepard. He becomes the Captain of this epic ship, and you go visit various planets to try and find a new home, since we screwed up Earth like a hooker in Vegas. Seriously humanity, how many Earths can we ♥♥♥♥ up before we learn? Also there is some pewpew ship battles. Point is, if you love rpgs, and space, you are right at home with this game. I'm pretty sure this game is what made Neil Degrasse Tyson love space.

Had to change my review to not recommend because this is a terrible PC port. I have an Alienware that can handle every game I threw at it, but this one just refused to work, even on potato settings.

Get this on Switch or Ps4 instead. Amazing game, just terrible port here.

Disclaimer: This review is from a guy that is not good at fighting games (besides smash bros) and doesn't like them that much. On the other hand, I think this should give a fresh review for those who are like me. Now then on to the review---

Review: The first thing I think is worth mentioning is the ease of controls. It is literally the first 2d fightning game (besides smash bros) that I was able to learn the combos of and not button mash. It is very easy to pick up but hard to master. Unlike almost every fighting game out there, that has very difficult and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ comboing such as--up, down, x, a, left, y, up, right, right, x, b~~~~you can do a decent combo with a single button continiously pressed with very minor arrows (up, down, left, right) enabling you to pick up decent combos to give you a fighting chance within minutes of playing the game, without having to look at the combo list and trying to pull it off. It is from the makers of BlazBlue for those who like that. Now onto the story--I haven't played other stories besides the main protagonist Hyde. His story arc is very interesting and his character and storyline is what actually made me want to get this game. If you want a basic geist of the story, check the 'about this game' section of the product page. I'm only saying this because 2d fighting games tend to usually have short stories, so I wouldn't want to spoil any of it. Graphics---The graphics are what you might expect from a fightning game but the visuals and effects have a slight resembalence to Fate/Stay Night. Characters---As I said above, the controls are easy to use, so any character you could basically do alright with during fights after a few minutes of learning their combos. The characters are unique and diverse, which is rarely seen in fighting games. Replay---There is a fair amount of replay by being awarded with points to spend in the custom store for backgrounds, player icons, titles, and color/costume palletes for the characters. Final verdict--8/10. It is worth a pick up if you are a fighting fan, or a guy/girl that doesn't like the genre but would like to if they could find one that's fair to new comers.

First mmo I ever played and still one of my personal favorites. The combat is fully action based unlike most mmo's giving it a nice fast paced combat system and battles. Story is pretty good too. (to where I got)

[Edit:The PC version has Full-Controller support. I used every button on the controller. I don't know why it says partial. It plays just as well as the ps3 version. No bugs have been noticed. Flawless port.] I played the ps3 version for over 300 hours. So, this is one of my favorite of all time rpgs. First of all, if you like Trails In The Sky, (in my opinion) Trails of Cold Steel is better, so fans of In The Sky would love this series. It has one of the biggest replay values I have seen in an rpg. For one, you get to choose who to romance, which alters the ending and gives exclusive bonding events. In quite a few certain points in the game, you get to choose who to bring into your party, and depending on who you bring alters the diologue. Also, the friendship and romance options you pick transfer over to the new games, (2-3, for when they come to steam) giving new diologue and changed cutscenes only possible with the save data clear with the romance and friendship choices transferred over. Now for the gameplay---The gameplay is full 3D and enhances the gameplay of In The Sky further while adding new elements. Outside of combat, you walk around the areas, talking to npcs, doing side quests, bonding with classmates, and some mini games at certain points. The side quests unlike most rpgs actually enhance the story and feel relevent. If you dont know about Trails In The Sky and want to skip right to this series, then thats fine too. This has its own unique story and chars that arent in In The Sky. The books also tell about what generally happened in the In The Sky series, and on Cold Steel. It is turn based but its a unique style with its duo attacks and 4 person party attacks. The game starts off slow but give it some time, as it takes it slow on purpose to give excellent character depth and world building. 10/10 in my opinion.

Controls take some getting used to if you aren't using a controller, but it flows well either way. Gameplay is fun, and story seems decent.

A great classic brought back to life. Multiplayer is crazy fun and the controller is perfect for a game like this. Recommend for fps lovers, dinosaur hunters, or just people looking for a decent multiplayer game. Sometimes the old school multiplayer works out better than our current gen ones.

The game is a little short, but you get your money's worth for it. It has a very cute story, and a hilariously nerdy guy that redeems himself. Has multiple endings, and quite a few pictures to unlock. Worth the buy.
