hello my dudes, welcome to my review.
so heres my opinion on this game, it's good, however it needs SIRIUS improvement.
The devs of this game are actually pretty good, content is added at an alarming rate, however many problems remain.
For example:

sound design - the sound design for guns, walking, destroying items, is very low quality. The guns feel uninpactful, everything sounds unrealistic and dull.

Playerbase - most players left the game due to the repetitive nature of it, the fanbase is typically very young due to the game being free and not very pc intensive, therefore meaning the fanbase is a mixture of decent/aweful. On top of that everyone koses, making things get really repetitive really fast.

Glitches - the game has MANY glitches, from random items that you cant pick up, to not being able to move, this game isn't exactly polished.

Heres my opinion on how the game could improve, so there would be a gamemode where you could chose from several different factions (bandit, bystander, merc etc) at the start of the game. Of course you could still team up with other players, the factions would just be what kind of playstyle you would be in to. For instance, a bandit would have very low reputation at the start of the game, and could be killed on sight without losing rep. Or a merchant which would have more accessability to loot, and would have neutral rep. Each faction would have a limit to how many players could join, fixing the issue of intire servers being full of KOSers or friendlys. The rep system aims to fix said problem, but ultamately doesn't do anything, aside from in the carpat map. Secondly i feel like pei, washington, and yukon should be updated to add more depth, by adding a sewige system, NPCs, and new locations.

My overall verdict (at the current state of the game) is 5/10. The game has a lot of potential, but ultamately falls flat in many aspects. I would like to hear feedback regarding my ideas and overall review, thank you for reading.

I was really dissapointed by this game for SO many reasons heres a list of all of them:

-the illusion of choice, the game advertises itself as an endless open world rpg where you can mold the waistland around you. this however is not the case as you dont really have much of a choice, they dont really have lasting effects on the world around you, for instance theres one quest where you have to go to camp mcarren, and find a ncr traitor, you soon learn that said person has planted charges on the railway to new vegas (ncrs main line of supply), if you fail to defuse the bomb this railway cant be accesed for the rest of the game and will largly effect ncr in the long run, where as fallout 3 you just mabye had the choice to blow up a city of innocent people or dont. Another thing is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ UNKILLABLE NPCs, the game has many unkillable npcs scattered all over DC, even in places that MAKE NO GODAMN SENSE, the game essentialy just tells you who you can/cant kill, also speech is a usless skill in the long run as speech checks are based on chance making it very exploitable, also you cant do no kill runs as there are areas where you absolutlely HAVE to kill enemys, if your looking for a game where YOU as the player have the choices than buy fallout new vegas or f2 or 1.

-technical difficulties, its well known that you need to go through a whole lotta ♥♥♥♥ just to play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game and once you do you still have to deal with crashes and framerate drops.

-too little content, you might be thinking right now WHAT htE ♥♥♥♥, THIs gAeM haS mANNY COuntent, and yes thats true but the good parts of the game are really hard to come across good ♥♥♥♥, it seems they whent with quantity over quality, this is why i have less hours spent on this compaired to fallout new vegas, it gets really boring after a few hours.

-clunky gameplay, i mean its a bethesda game what the ♥♥♥♥ kind of explaining does it need,

i have much more that i could say about this but that would make this go on for way too long,
overall i would reccomend playing fallout 1/2/new vegas for the full experience.

Let me just start this review by saing I LOVE NUCLEAR THRONE, its a game i recieved from a friend back in the late 2015 and it still sticks with me to this day.

Let's start with why i love this game.

#1 soundtrack - while this is nothing special, it still conveys emotions really well. the acoustic guitar fits perfectly, the trone fight in particular is good. The games dificulty (which i will get to soon) makes just reaching the throne feel like an achievment, and the music fits that ideoligy perfectly. The singing, the intense guitar, along with the fight itself is a perfect example of gameplay/story/musical resonance.

#2 Difficulty - the one thing that always has me coming back is the pure chaotic nature of this game. Unlike most games, this game is purely unpolished (in terms of level design not movement or gunplay), you will be facing against HORDES of enemies, with weapons that feel overpowered as all hell yet still balanced. The difficulty and perma-death always has you coming back in the hopes that you could do better. DON'T WORRY, I'LL DO MY HOMEWORK AFTER THIS RUN, OH DON'T WORRY I'LL EAT AFTER THIS ONE RUN, NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT, I'LL GET A JOB AFTER THIS RUN. This is what i end up telling myself every time i play this game (still don't have a job tho, nuclear throne is my life).

#3 The devs - This game gets actively updated and given april fools updates. The devs themselves are really cool dudes, always looking to help small indie game devs and not falling into corporate traps *cough* bethesda *cough*.

#4 Gameplay - Another aspect of this games astonishing replay value is its gameplay, there are HUNDREDS of guns to chose from, all feeling unique, you can chose from a plasma rifles that shoots multiplying projectiles, a machinegun in the form of a crossbow or shotgun that sometimes also shoots flames, or a GUN GUN A GUN THAT SHOOTS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GUNS.
Another aspect is mutations and crowns, mutations are like this games perk system, each adding an aspect to gameplay, while crowns give you certain buffs along with debuffs as a nice way to try out new gameplay styles. These make every playthrough feel unique in some way (however some are utterly useless like eagle eyes) and once again help the replay value immensely.

#5 Technicalities - This game lacks a lot of bugs/glitches, rarely crashes, and can run on just about any system.

#6 Story - the story is nothing special, however it's very intriguing. Answers are not fully given to you and you are left to make your own theories about the game by reading the hints in the menu and looking at the levels. Despite the lack of information you are given on the subject, i still found myself wanting to know more about the story and the characters.

#7 replay value - I talked about this many times in the previous articles, but this games replay value is unbeaten. Theres no one specific ending for this game, while you can still play the game without getting bored after beating it with the addition of loops.

Cons
- Sometimes the game feels a little luck based (especially with unlocks like the yv b skin). While this is something you can eventually overcome, it's still mildly annoying.

- while this is not something that bothers me and is not something i will take away rating for, this game can be too difficult for some, as i said before, the game pits you against massive ammounts of enemies at once. anything can end a perfectly good run.

- there can be a lack of progression. While this games main selling point for me was constantly pushing yourself to do better, constantly starting a new run again and again in order to get just a little further, However i would still like more in terms of rewards for the player, like more then just a few skins, new color palates, something to make the game feel more rewarding to the player.

Overall i give this game a 9.5 out of 10 for great gameplay and reward. Along with great replay value and polished movement and weapons, and an amazing dev team.
