As much fun as I have had with the game as well as with EU, HOI, and other paradox offerings I cannot recommend the game in its current state. Learning the game was obtuse, with it having likely the hardest learning curve of any paradox game, much of this being from the poor tutorials and hidden features (production methods nestled behind multiple tabs despite being massive for the economy). Like most people I had to learn most from Youtube which is a major disappointment for a triple A release.

War is considerably lacking, even when playing tall as intended the huge amount of radical-induced and colonial wars graduating into global conflicts is ridiculous, and has already ended several runs.

On a well set up rig the game will begin to slow down considerably after about 1870, likely due to the variety of pop migration so keep that in mind.

I still did have fun as a paradox player who loves to play tall and is the main demographic for such a game, but due to the current state I would recommend against buying for full price. 4.5/10

Game simply doesn't work, save files continuously corrupt and key features are broken. Continue campaign button crashes the game. No playtesting could have been done for this
