Very fun gameplay reminiscent of Castlevania Aria of Sorrow.

This is my favourite metroidvania and probably one of my favourite games of all time. The art style is amazing and soundtrack is superb. I enjoyed meeting each in game character because they are all interesting and entertaining. All levels are really well thought out and connect really well. Most areas have more than one way to enter them, each utilising different abilities. The abilities are fun and well thought out. It's always clear where each power can be used. The movement feels great and the combat is challlenging and fun. Badges allow a ton of customisation options and they actually feel like they make a difference. I have played through it many times and it took me about 30 hours to beat the game, almost 60 hours to 100% it. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves platforming and a challenge.
