I'm kind of struggling to rate this game since I really liked the ending. However, since I didn't enjoy the bulk of the game I can't give it a positive review. That leads to main problem. This isn't actually a game so much as a movie that forces you to click things to proceed to the next cutscene. It starts like a game but it quickly becomes clear that you're being railroaded to an extreme degree. You start in a mansion, but you can't explore parts that aren't related to the next cutscene that drives the story forward. Everything else is either a locked door or 'I should really do <thing>'. I enjoyed Finding Paradise by the same developer so I had high hopes for this, but it sadly didn't meet them. The other thing to consider is that the bulk of the game is quite depressing, so if you don't enjoy that kind of thing, definitely skip this (I should have known better). All of that said, this is a very well made game with great art. It obviously had a lot of love put into it, so if you enjoy sad stories you'll undoubtedly enjoy this as long as you aren't expecting any gameplay.
