Significant downgrade when compared to Victoria II

In some ways the game lets you have larger control over the economical and trade part of the game which is not very fun, as you have to contantly micro manage your surplus and deficit of resources for your industry.
On the other hand, the control of the millitary decisions was mostly given to the AI which makes wars incredibly frustrating in many scenarios, especially with the currently broken battle system that involves randomly large number of troops fighting another random number of troops with RNG modifiers affecting the battle result.
The political system of the game is lacking in many ways, as interaction with the various interest groups is simply not present and passing laws always leads to making at least one group very angry with the goverment, when radicalized it can lead to a revolution ending in a civil war (which happens to the AI lead nations too often in my opinion). The ratio gain of radicals/loyalists also seems to be heavily sided in favor of the radicals.
So in conclusion it's a very diffrent game from Victoria II and makes some radical changes in the gameplay which I don't find very positive, but I still hope the game will be updated and adjusted in many ways in the future, unless it is abandoned like the infamous Imperator Rome.
